Valorant’s patch 2.07 was leaked last week and fans already got a small taste of what’s to come. Yesterday, Riot Games officially released the update and we have the full 2.07 patch notes.
Valorant Patch 2.07 went live yesterday, but it took some time for Riot Games to update the Playvalorant page with the full patch notes. Already last Friday, April 9, the Valorant 2.07 patch notes were leaked. Was the leak correct? Yes, 100%! Here you can read the leak again and below we have the official patch notes for you.
Agent Updates
Astra
Astra receives a boost in this patch that should remove an entirely counter-intuitive rule that made their gravity well has no effect on players who disarm the spike. Wewant skill interactions in the game to remain consistent and easy to learn. That’s why we allow you to, agent abilities without running into unexpected obstacles. unexpected obstacles. In our opinion, this update can provide interesting post-placement interactions, in which opponents use the use the gravity well as bait and experiment with its cooldown. experimenting with it. As always, we pay close attention to what effects Astra now has on the game in general after placing the spike.
Gravity Well
- Now attracts agents to disarm the spike.
- If they are pulled out of range for disarms, it ends.
Raze
- Audio effects now indicate when she is thrown into the air by the explosive pack.
- Graphic effects of Explosion and Full Pipe updated to be less distracting and disappear faster.
Raze fans can now flutter around like butterflies in the sky. Their explosive packs will take them very far very quickly. So it’s not at all uncommon to suddenly hear an explosion in the distance followed by an enemy Raze sailing around the corner. Like Jett for her “tailwind”, Raze now gets a sound for her flight movement that you can probably use to spot her better. And it should also warn you that danger is approaching.
danger is approaching. We’ve also removed several graphic effects from her abilities because we felt that the explosions were interfering with the view of the combat.
Viper
- Fixed a bug where decay damage taken was calculated incorrectly for players wearing armor.
- This was most noticeable when shots with the Marshal reduced the health of targets with a decay value of 50 to 1, instead of killing them.
After investigating reports that the Marshal was not killing enemies that had suffered 50 decay, we discovered a bug related to the way the game determines whether dealing damage to decay-affected targets with armor should be lethal at certain health thresholds. We believe this buggy interaction with the Marshal has been the most common, but will be watching to see how fixing this bug affects the overall strength of the more recently recently buffed Viper.
Quality of Life
- User experience for ping wheel revised – should now feel more predictable.
- Cypher’s “trip wire” is now displayed to observers with the appropriate team color.
Bugs
Fixed a bug that caused spectators and observers to see incorrect view were sometimes shown incorrect target angles when switching between when switching between views. This display corrected itself over about a second. As of the correct angle is displayed immediately.
Agents
- Yoru can no longer place the spike after using “Surprise Visit” if “Dimensional Drift” is still active.
- Fixed a bug where Astra would see a dome when exiting “Astral Form” while Omen’s Ult was active.
- Fixed a bug where Killjoy’s turret could destroy Sage’s barrier sphere.
- Cypher can no longer place his spy camera in the projectiles of “Cyber Cage”.
- Fixed a bug that caused Killjoy’s inactive alert bots to track distant targets after reactivation.
- Fixed a bug that caused Skye’s “Polar Star” to disappear under the map when thrown downwards.
Rated
- Fixed various localization issues in the server selection and promotion screen.
- Fixed a bug where the match history could not be filtered correctly.
Social
- Fixed a bug where players had to restart the client to play normally after their restrictions ended.
- Fixed a bug where players were sometimes not penalized for AFK after a match ended.
- Fixed a bug where players with a Russian keyboard were having problems with push-to-talk in their group.
- Fixed a bug where voice chat settings were reset after switching to a Thai keyboard.
As expected, the leak was absolutely correct this time. The changes in Valorant Patch 2.07 are okay-ish, but nothing significant has really been changed. We’ll probably see something big with the next Valorant patch, which will also bring Episode 2 Act 3, by the way.

What are Patchnotes?
Patchnotes are specially designed to appear only in the appropriate places.
What is Valorant?
Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and Overwatch . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.
Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.
The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.
Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
