What can you expect in the next patch? (Source: )

’s next patch, namely 1.08, has found its way to the light of day by chance. Thanks to a leak, it is now known that Agent Raze, the Guardian weapon and the map rotation will be tackled in the next update.

If you recently searched Google for the latest patch notes for Valorant, you might have found what you were looking for. Actually, the new patch was supposed to hit the live servers with a one-day delay on 09/17. Now the patch notes for 1.08 were accidentally leaked in text form and give us a good insight.

Agent Updates

Raze

  • Initial damage reduced to 15, with an inner radius of 0.2m and a minimum damage of 5
  • When the charge is placed, the damage increases to 50 after 0.5 seconds
  • When activating the Blast Pack it does the current damage
  • The pack no longer damages allies

Raze’s Blast Pack damage has been further reduced to better balance her as an agent. The damage now increases after a short period of time. Its play possibilities in conjunction with Raze’s Ulti will remain.

Weapons Changes

Guardian

  • Price reduced from 2.500 to 2.400
  • Improved firing rate from 4.75 to 5.25 rounds per second
  • Recoil improved from 0.35 to 0.2925 after 3 shots

With the changes, Riot wants to make the Guardian more popular and make it more competitive. With the changed price and slightly improved gun handling, the weapon should now be a good option in certain situations.

Map Rotation

Finally, the time has come! The new map rotation is now not completely random like before. A map you played in the last round will now be downgraded in matchmaking. So the chance that you will always get the same maps is now much lower!

General

  • Spectators now see a stopwatch when they watch a player who is blinded
  • In the options this can also be switched off
  • The performance of the minimap has been improved
  • The friends list will no longer sort when a player hovers over the panel
  • Updated language on the career page for all ranks

Bug fixes

  • Fixed VFX for Classic Prime
  • Fixed bug where Prime levels (2-4) did not use the correct trackers, sound effects and visual effects
  • Fixed bug where the message “Still in Progress” was shown in the end screen
  • Fixed bug where “big skill differences” appeared in custom games

These changes are supposed to come with patch 1.08 in the night from Wednesday to Thursday. However, due to the renewed delay of one day, Riot could still make slight changes.

What are Patchnotes?

Patchnotes are specially designed to appear only in the appropriate places.

What is Valorant?

Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.

Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.

The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.

Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
