Patch Notes - Valorant Patch 1.06 - all bugfixes, agent & weapon changes
What is in the new Patch 1.06? Not so much… (Source: )

There’s the thing! The next update for Valorant is here. What’s in patch 1.06? And what impact will it have on the meta?

Riot call it the “Air Shotgun” patch, and for good reason. It’s basically a single change to how shotguns work in Valorant. If you were hoping for Killjoy or Sage, prepare to be disappointed. Here are the full Valorant Patch Notes 1.06, as found on the Valorant website:

Agent Updates

The glare effect hints (Phoenix Curveball and Breach Flashpoint) should better indicate when to turn away and when to look again.

Weapon Updates

All shotguns have been updated: accuracy decreases when jumping

  • Who jumps increases the spread: 5 >>> 1.25

“Although shotguns perform well in situations where they should, there have been overly frustrating moments where people are being accurate in the air with these weapons. We hope to put a stop to some of these encounters and still make them possible when catching an enemy at close range. We’ll also explore other possible changes to shotguns now that we’re rested.”

Quality of life

In the collection’s menu screens, the “Show only your own” switch remains active, even if you switch between screens or restart the client. The game remembers your setting.

Bugfixes

  • Possible correction of the bug where the player’s HUD sometimes disappears.
  • Fixed a bug in the deathmatch match history and match details where draws between 3 or more players were not shown as a draw, but instead the lowest rank was shown as a draw (so that a 3-way draw for 2nd place showed 4th instead of 2nd (TIED)).
  • Fixed a bug that allowed new players to progress in competitive matchmaking by abandoning unranked games. Surrendered games do not count towards the Ranked score for the team that surrendered.
  • Fixed a bug where ” appeared in the chat log.
  • Fixed a bug where strange player names could appear in the chat when managing group invitations.
  • Fixed a bug where some players missed rewards after reaching the end of Agent Contracts or Act Battlepass. Playing a game should grant the missing rewards, including missing Act rewards.

The agent update is minor as it only affects two abilities, but it is certainly welcome as the sound can be improved in many aspects. Shotguns are just as good as before, but when you jump and shoot, you’d better shoot someone directly in the face.

It’s a small patch. We expected more, Riot. Hopefully there will be some nerfs in 1.07! What do you guys think about it? Let us know on Facebook.

What are Patchnotes?

Patchnotes are specially designed to appear only in the appropriate places.

What is Valorant?

Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.

Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.

The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.

Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
