will soon get a PBE, that is, a Public Beta Environment. What took you so long, Riot? We have all the details.

Valorant is now over a year old and surprisingly there is still no beta server. Fortunately, that’s changing. Riot has released their PBE plans in an official blog post.

What is a PBE?

A PBE, or Public Beta Environment, is a server where developers can test the changes of upcoming patches with the community. This means Riot can run bug fixes now before the hits the live servers. A PBE for Valorant will clear out a whole of the amount of bugs and errors that are otherwise so annoying. Here’s Riot’s official comment:

Simply put, our bi-weekly patch rotation could use some extra help identifying bugs and assessing stability before determining what stays in our patches and what doesn’t. This includes agent and weapon balance, game systems, contests, and the other updates that are usually noted in our patch notes.

The Valorant PBE will not be available 24/7

Unfortunately, the Valorant PBE will not be available all the time, but only on weekends before a new patch comes. The chosen ones will be allowed to play for a while, test the new update and report the bugs in the Valorant PBE subreddit. After that, it’s over.

Patch Notes - Valorant gets a PBEHow do you register for the Valorant PBE?

Oh, you also want to take part in the Valorant PBE test? Well, it probably won’t be that easy. Riot only allows players from NA to join the PBE. At least for now. Additionally, you must not have any bans or restrictions on your account. And even if you meet all the requirements, there is no guarantee that you will be accepted. And even if you are approved for the PBE, no need for Toxicness. You’ll still be playing with your original account.

Also, joining the PBE does not create your own PBE account! You will be using your current VALORANT account to log in, so make sure you log in with the account you want to use. This means that if you get banned on the PBE, you will also get banned on the live server, and vice versa.

So, if you want to give it a try, this is the official Valorant PBE registration page. Just follow these steps and it will work without any problems:

  • Go to the PBE registration page
  • Log in to your Valorant account (only works on NA)
  • Click on the “Download Button” to get to the PBE client
  • Verify your date of birth
  • Install the client
  • Register for the Valorant PBE

What are Patchnotes?

Patchnotes are specially designed to appear only in the appropriate places.

What is Valorant?

Valorant initially appears to be a cross between and . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.

Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.

The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.

Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
