players were overjoyed with the arrival of Episode 3 Act 1 in Patch 3.00. Finally, the new agent KAY/O came into the game, weapon and ability prices were adjusted, and the annoying run-and-gun gameplay was generated. What’s coming with Valorant Patch 3.01?

The last patch for Valorant came out on June 22, and according to Riot’s two-week-per- rule, patch 3.01 should have been out by now. The good news is that it was only delayed by a single day, so we’re expecting the update today. Riot has officially confirmed that patch 3.01 will be released on July 7. The reason for Riot’s decision to delay the patch is the festivities around the 4th of July in the US. Beyond that, the delay, albeit short, gives the devs a bit of extra time to iron out bugs and errors in the new patch.

What to expect from Valorant Patch 3.01

Patch 3.01 will likely focus on Quality of Life, bug fixes, and various optimizations for some abilities. Our expectations for Patch 3.01 aren’t particularly high, since Valorant just launched into a new episode two weeks ago. Since patch 3.00 has already added and changed so much, we don’t expect too many changes from the next patch. However, we can also imagine that possibly some innovations of the last update will be undone…. Who knows?

Patch Notes - Valorant 3.01 Patch NotesKAY/O is the newest agent in Valorant and he is mixing up the meta nicely. Similar to any other new agent, we will likely see some changes to his kit. Will the robot agent get a buff or a nerf? His unique suppression mechanic is what makes him powerful against the enemy team and it might be a bit too OP right now.

Patch 3.00 also brought some big changes to the in-game economy. The least used became cheaper, while some of the most powerful agent abilities became more expensive.

To that end, we overhauled the entire economy of the game, changing the prices of weapons and abilities to better match their impact on a match and allow players to create more dynamic, varied equipment and .

We’ll see if Riot went overboard with some abilities like Raze’s Boom Bot, which now costs 400 credits instead of 200, once Patch 3.01 is released.

What is Valorant?

Valorant initially appears to be a cross between CS:Go and . A competitive shooter where two small teams compete against each other.

Your team is either ready to attack or defend, with the attackers placing a “stinger” (essentially a bomb) that the other team must then defuse or preferably prevent you from placing at all.

The attacking team can win by either eliminating the defenders or placing the stinger and then protecting it from defusing until the timer runs out. The defenders can similarly win by destroying the attackers before they have a chance to plant their stinger, or disarming the stinger after it has been planted.

Each team of five can play as both attackers and defenders during a game. Each game has a total of 25 rounds, with the first team to win 13 rounds declared the winner
