Important times about server downs today in Fortnite – When and how long will it be offline?
This is the downtime in the morning: The servers are expected to go down at 10:00 AM our time to install update 20.30. Matchmaking is already disabled 30 minutes before that, so you won’t be able to search for new rounds after 09:30.
When will you be able to play again? The servers are usually offline for several hours during such maintenance work and playing is then no longer possible. The downtime is expected to last between 30 minutes and 2 hours. This is what the updates of the past weeks have shown.
During such maintenance work there can always be technical problems, bugs and delays. In case of such complications, we will immediately report them here.
When are the patch notes coming? Epic Games has been publishing little to no patch notes for a long time. However, members of the community usually look for and find the changes quickly. However, if there are still important changes, we will also add this article for you.
What new content does update 20.30 bring?
What’s new for Battle Royale mode? There are no concrete statements from Epic Games about the contents of patch 20.30 yet. However, leaks and dataminers have often proven to be a safe source in the past. However, these changes are confirmed:
Battle for Tilted Towers has begun
Tilted has had better days…
The offensive against IO continues. This time you have to take Tilted Towers. However, as you will notice, Tilted is badly battered and has suffered some craters. You can mourn later, though, because the Seven are counting on your help.
Star Wars Day begins soon
Star Wars Day begins on May 04. To mark the occasion, Epic has once again put lightsabers on the map, along with E-11 blaster rifles. So from May 03 – 17 you can wield your cool sabers and earn XP and a banner. As always, you can find the missions in your missions tab in the Fortnite menu.
The Choppas will be back soon – donate!
Epic has placed the choice boards in all outposts of the Seven. In these you can donate gold again, there permanently unlock a Choppa. However, everyone has to pitch in, as one donor is not enough to raise the gold for this vehicle.
Shotguns get balance adjustments
All shotguns have received some adjustments in Fortnite that will affect you as follows:
- The minimum number of shotgun hits has been increased from 3 to 4 for the Striker pump shotgun, Automatic shotgun, and Drum shotgun.
- Increased the shotgun pellet damage and headshot damage of the Striker Pumpgun and Automatic Shotgun.
- The headshot damage of the Ranger Shotgun and Drum Shotgun has been significantly increased, but the base damage from buckshot remains the same.
- The damage at increasing range of the drum shotgun has been adjusted so that the effective range is shortened.
Better filtering system for your mode selection
Epic has now implemented better options for you to more accurately pick your desired modes. You can now select different criteria to customize the selection to your tastes.
Small notes for the competitive mode
- The troops at Tilted Towers are not in direct conflict with competitive game modes, but the destruction that took place still occurred and Huntmaster Saber is in a new location in those game modes as well.
- Lightsabers and E-11 blaster rifles are not available in competitive game modes.
- Choppas do not appear in the competitive game modes.
Bug fixes
- Fixed an issue where most safes in Seven Outposts could not be opened.
