Overwatch: PTR patch – updates for Sigma and bug fixes
After the developers of the team shooter Overwatch released the next hero on the public test realm (PTR), today there are first updates for Sigma. Here you can read the latest patch notes.
Today the next patch for Blizzard’s team shooter Overwatch has been released on the public test realm (PTR). Besides updates for the new tank hero Sigma, there are several bug fixes. Detailed information about Sigma’s abilities can be found in this article and in the developer video below.
Please note that the following patch notes only refer to current changes in the PTR. While many of these changes may be implemented for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in a future patch, the PTR is only available to PC players and will therefore only include changes planned for that platform. HEROUPDATES
Sigma
Kinetic conversion
Can now be canceled by accretion.
Experimental barrier
Can now be recalled while using Kinetic Conversion or Accretion.
FIXED BUGS
General
Previews for skill placement (Reaper’s Shadow Step, Mei’s Ice Wall, etc.) are now much smoother.
Placement preview positions now persist after clicking until confirmed by the server.
Fixed a bug where animations in the first-person perspective would sometimes not play if the character was frozen and used abilities immediately after.
Fixed a bug that caused the alignment indicators for placeable abilities (Ice Wall, Reinforcement Matrix, Photon Barrier) to flicker at higher latencies.
Workshop – “Set Max Health” now works as intended.
Heroes
Reinhardt
Fixed a bug where Rush could knock enemies back multiple times.
Sigma
Accretion now deals halved damage to Sigma as intended.
Accretion’s projectile is no longer destroyed when it hits Symmetra’s guns.
Gravity Flow can now move Pharah while she is using Tumbling Fire.
Fixed a bug where heroes hit by Gravity River could get stuck on slippery roofs.
Fixed a bug that prevented gravity flow from working on transporter doors.
Fixed a bug where Sigma could escape an enemy gravity flow by activating his own Ultimate.
Fixed a bug that restricted Sigma’s movement when he was incapacitated (stunned, put to sleep, etc.) during his use of Gravity Flow.
Fixed a bug where Gravity Flow would not cancel if players switched to another Hero while the ability was active.
Sombra
Fixed a bug where Sombra’s ultimate ability would not charge for a second after the hack of EMP on targets expired.
Wrecking Ball
Fixed a bug that could cause Wrecking Ball to get stuck temporarily when using Collision Course on slippery surfaces.
