SUMMER GAMES 2020

Attention, athletes: It’s time for the 2020 Summer Games! Put your skills to the test in Lúcioball: Remix, an even crazier version of your favorite ball sport. In – Season 4 of Copa Lúcioball, all your skills will be needed to emerge victorious from the merciless matches. We’ve made extensive updates to the Busan and Sydney stadiums and made some small changes to the gameplay of Lúcioball. When you’ve really worked up a sweat, head to the beach with legendary skins like Lifeguard for Pharah, Surfer for Echo, and Tropical for Baptiste. You can unlock these and many more extras in addition to the Summer Games extras from previous years!

LÚCIOBALL: REMIX

Lúcioball: Remix is the wildest version of Lúcioball yet. There are two balls in play at the same time AND bonus balls that score three points appear regularly. This guarantees astronomically high scores and breathtaking moves! Will you keep up or will you be overwhelmed by the flood of balls?

Gameplay updates for Lúcioball

  • Lúcio moves faster.
  • Lúcio’s cooldowns are shorter.
  • The range of Lúcio’s melee attack and sonic wave are increased.
  • Lúcio’s melee attack and sonic blast are now partially affected by your
    direction to improve ball control.
  • Lúcio can duck in the air to get to the ground quickly.
  • Added new options for custom Lúcioball matches.

GENERAL UPDATES

Queue VIPs in abandoned games

When you join a match that has already started to replace a player who has previously left, you have “jumped in” to that match. Then, after you finish the match in which you jumped in as a replacement, you will be enrolled as a queue VIP for your next match. This status is indicated by a small icon in the user interface. When you join the queue as a VIP, the player assignment will try to find a suitable match for you as a priority. This usually shortens the waiting time significantly.

UPDATES FOR CUSTOM GAMES

Unequal teams

You can more accurately adjust how many players are on each team in custom games. Although the limit is still 12 players total, you can freely choose how many player slots there are in Team 1 and Team 2. In the workshop, you can set how many bots compete per team. If there are 12 player slots in total, this will determine how many bots there are on both teams (e.g. in a 4v8 mode, 4 bots on one team can compete against 8 bots on the other). If there are less than 12 player slots total, additional bots can be assigned to each team as long as there is a maximum of 12 players (e.g. in a 4v0 mode, up to 8 additional bots can be split between both teams). We look forward to seeing what all asymmetrical game modes you come up with!

UPDATES FOR RANKED MATCHES

Adjustment of group limits for high game levels

We recently introduced a game level cap of 3,900 after the conclusion of ranked matches. Therefore, we are now adjusting the group restriction for ranked matches: It is no longer possible to rank with more than two players if at least one player in the group has a playing level of 3,900 or higher.

Overwatch is a team-based 6vs6 shooter that was released on May 24, 2016. Overwatch stays true to the true style of Blizzard’s previous titles. It was developed by Jeff Kaplan and is considered a “new concept” shooter in the FPS genre. The game was officially unveiled at BlizzCon along with 12 heroes on November 7, 2014.

The story of Overwatch is set on a highly fictionalized future version of Earth. In a time where humans and robots, which are called Omnics, live together (Chris Metzen hinted that the story deals with this very robot race). 30 years before the time when Overwatch takes place, the so-called “Omnic Crisis ” occurred. The robots, once helpers of humans, rebelled against their creators for reasons as yet unknown and triggered a worldwide chaos. Faced with the imminent destruction of human civilization, the best soldiers of all nations came together to form a program called “Overwatch”.

Their job was to protect the world from the Omnics, which they succeeded in doing. For the next 25 years, they were the protectors of the planet, united in an international coalition. Some agents stayed, some were replaced, but at some point something changed: the Overwatch disintegrated. However, 5 years later after this event, incidents with Omnics are again accumulating, a worldwide terrorist organization also seems interested in destabilizing the world order. A new crisis is looming. At this point, your career as an Overwatch agent begins.
