Overwatch Patch 2.93 – Sigma finally gets a foothold

Patch 2.93 is here, and it brings a lot: Sigma is finally taking root, Overwatch cities and countries are now available, and more quality-of-life changes are coming to Overwatch.

Overwatch has been heavily focused on quality-of-life changes lately. The look and overall experience of Career Profiles has been completely redesigned and they have been streamlined and redesigned for player navigation. Patch 2.93 includes a new challenge to complete, new sprays to unlock, and more. Let’s dive into Overwatch life. Music Maestro!

Sigmas Maestro-Challenge

Overwatch players can experience something really special in patch 2.93: Sigma is finally wearing a pair of shoes . He has shoes in his Talon skin, but we’re assuming these were provided to him. This skin pays homage to many of his voice lines in the game and we couldn’t be happier to see him sport some hair. Or is that a wig?

From July 14-27, 2020, you can play, watch and earn epic rewards in Sigma’s Symphony, which includes the Maestro Sigma skin. So how do you unlock the crazy musical maestro?

  • Win 3 games = Maestro player icon.
  • Win 6 games = Legendary Maestro Sigma Emote.
  • Win 9 games = Legendary Maestro Sigma Skin.

Note: Wins must be achieved in Quick Play, Play, or an Arcade game.

The Maestro Sigma skin is very well done, especially for a free skin . It would be great if Overwatch themed this skin around a different design line and took it cues from Sigma. Anyone wanna play Bowtie Winston ?

But enough of the , how about the watching? If you log into Twitch and watch participating Overwatch players, you can snag some really cool sprays:

  • Watch 2 hours = Sigma Meastro spray
  • Watches 4 hours = Moira – Fiddle and Symmetra – Sitar Spray.
  • Watch 6 Hours = Lucio – Bossa Nova, Mei – Guzheng, and Orisa – Djembe Sprays.

We highly recommend completing this challenge, especially for the free legendary skin. Overwatch has hosted these types of events before, but of course they’re always a welcome addition to our skin collections .

Overwatch cities and countries

Overwatch has released a pretty interesting music album for gamers! Overwatch: Cities & Countries shows the themes of Overwatch maps and missions. The 42-minute album has 24 tracks and makes the Sigma event very special! You can listen to the Cities & Countries album on various streaming platforms – so you can take Overwatch with you wherever you go! What a great gesture, Blizzard. Our favorite is Rialto.

General updates

As already mentioned, there have been some changes to the career profile. In case you don’t stop by there too often, here are the improvements:

  • Game mode playtime has been added to the overview section so you can see exactly how much time you’ve spent in modes like Ranked or one of the community’s creative workshop modes.
  • Statistics are presented in tabular form, separated by “Average/10 min”, “Best”, “Overall”, allowing for a cleaner, more readable view.
  • In-game achievements are grouped by category and can be filtered based on what you have already earned and what you still need to unlock.
  • Player icons are now grouped by category and can be filtered by hero and ownership status.

Of course, Overwatch has also fixed some bugs – we also have the list from patch 2.93 for you:

Ashe

  • Fixed a bug where the Viper could cut through the camera when Ashe jumped and fired while aiming down.

doom fist

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Doomfist to use a wall in Junkertown when using a gesture.

D.Va

  • Fixed a bug where D.Va’s Micro Missiles were not affected by damage buff abilities.

Genji

  • Fixed a bug where the Distract sound effect didn’t match the ability’s duration.
  • Fixed a bug that caused the Genji to take missile damage during a diversionary maneuver when getting too close to an enemy.

Hanzo

  • Fixed a bug where Sonic Arrow would not allow vision through walls when distracted by Genji.

Wrecking Ball

  • Fixed a bug that allowed Wrecking Ball to use the grabbing claw without going into ball form.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause some mines to get stuck in the Temple of Anubis terrain.

Overwatch Patch 2.93 includes many improvements to the overall quality of the game, a new Career Profile page, and some much-needed bug fixes, particularly for Wrecking Ball. We love the Sigma Maestro Challenge and think this is a tune we’re all tuned to can dance Curtain up please! You’ve been a wonderful audience while reading this patch note discussion, now go get the skins!

OVERWATCH 2 – A VISUAL EVOLUTION

The five best Overwatch skins

As really cool – so you could title the new Overwatch skins. Because Blizzard Entertainment has really put a lot of effort this time and gifted the community with new cosmetics.

The OverwatchEcent Archives is in full swing. And once again, it takes us back to the original Overwatch team that used to fight in the streets of King’s Row against the rebellion started by the Null Sector. We also remember eight years ago when we took control of Blackwatch, a terrorist organization bent on destruction. But besides all the nostalgia, there’s something else that makes this event: the Archives skins. Here comes the top 5 of the best Cosmetics.

5th Place: Zarya’s “Workout.”

Giving us a bit of workout reality is Zarya’s “Workout” skin at #5. At a young age, Zarya identified a lot with athletics and here she shows that she’s a tough woman. But we honestly expected something more from the professional weightlifter. Still, the skin turned out quite nice.

4th Place: Roadhog’s “Militia” Look

Blizzard has done a good job of mixing the scout and military outfits, so Roadhog’s “Militia” skin lands in 4th place. We especially love the patches attached to the dungarees, but this skin isn’t as colorful and fancy as, say, other skins in the ranking. For that, it gets a solid 4th place.

3rd place: Junkrats “King Jamison

Majestic and bold in 3rd place is Junkat’s “King Jamison” skin. After being banished from Junkertown by the queen, he’s back and presents himself as a real eye-catcher that the queen would be jealous of. We were taken with the golden leg, but so much potential was lost with the rather plain shirt. That’s why Junkrat only makes it to number 3.

2nd place: Pharah’s “Aviator” style

Lieutenant Fareeha “Pharah” comes flying in at number two, in a stunning look that should wow anyone. The aviator sunglasses plus jetpack give her a thematically badass appearance that still makes her look cool and beautiful.

1st Place: Ana’s “Sniper” Skin.

Ana breathes new life into us with her “Sniper” skin and is unrivaled our No. 1 spot. During the Omnic crisis in her earlier years, Ana slayed the Omnics in this color stunning outfit. Her red scarf, headset and many other smaller accessories add the finishing touches to the skin that have us excited.

We’re excited to see when and with which skins Blizzard will wow us again. For more info on Overwatch and everything else about the world of Esports and gaming, check out Early Game.
