The overview is divided into two main sections, in which we highlight the most important locations and routes; you can jump directly to the point you are interested in using the following table of contents.

Overwatch: Numbani
Numbani is among the larger of the maps in Overwatch. But despite its vastness, the really crucial firefights always take place in the same two spots. Positional battles develop both at the first point to be captured and shortly before the end, which you can only decide in your favor by acting together as a team. We have examined both locations in detail for you.

Overwatch: Numbani – First Conquest Point

Numbani: Point 1 and 7 – A whole hallway full of grenades

Right next to the street where most of the fighting takes place, there is a long hallway running from the bottom to the top, through which the attackers can get up unseen. However, any defender who has been through more than one battle in Numbani knows this. For this reason, the corridor is a kind of death zone. The upper exits are usually secured with mines or self-shooting devices, and if there is a Junkrat on the defending team, you can be sure that grenades will sail down the hallway in staccato. This is important, though, because if the attackers manage to flank the defending team with two or more heroes, the point is as good as lost.

Numbani: Point 2 – Death from above

Not only the lower passage can become unpleasant for the defenders. The upper path also offers strategic advantages to the attackers. Some heroes are a real danger when they get to the balcony unnoticed. They fire into the side of the surprised defenders and quickly retreat, so the victims often don’t even realize where or who they are being fired upon by.

Numbani: Point 3 – gallery for ranged fighters

The long gallery stretches almost halfway around the conquest point and offers all heroes with strengths at medium range an excellent shooting position. However, you have little room to retreat if necessary. Therefore, no heroes should be high up here, who already after a few hits will drop the sails and lie in the dirt. Rather stable ranged fighters like Soldier:76.

Numbani: Point 4 – Sneaky ambush

Behind the point with the vehicle is a corridor, through which the defenders can get to the point. These like to use it to retreat again and again briefly and to doctor the wounds. Attackers should prevent this at all costs. Either by following them or by launching missiles or the like from a distance. If a nimble hero from the attacking team manages to get behind the enemy lines via the gallery in picture 3, then he should definitely try to sneak into this corridor from behind. From there, he has the defenders’ backs in front of him and just has to pull the trigger.

Numbani: Point 5 – Favorite sniper position

The defender who lays in wait here with his sniper rifle actually only has to have good aim to land one kill after another. There is almost no danger from the attacker. Any hero that comes into view from the attacking team is usually in the middle of a skirmish with the other defenders and has no eye for whether there’s a Widowmaker or a Hanzo in the bushes somewhere. What sent him to the ground, he then sees only in the killcam.

Numbani: Point 6 – Beware of melee fighters

In the room directly at the point like to wait melee fighters from the team of defenders, to thunder attacking heroes directly a charge of lead in the back. Since the attackers are usually oriented towards the point, the melee fighters have an easy time here. Heroes like Reaper, McCree or even Torbjörn’s turrets can often be found in the small space. If the attackers want to eliminate this danger, they have to enter the building via the upper balcony and thus stab the melee fighters in their turn.

Numbani: Point 8 – Cover

Heroes with good precision like to half-hide behind the cargo when firing to take advantage of its cover. As an attacker, however, you can elegantly shoot under the vehicle and still take down the hero in question. Besides, there is always the possibility to attack via the flanking routes.

Overwatch: Numbani – The aiming point

Numbani: Point 9 – Danger lurks in the bushes

When the cargo has arrived at the last meters, the game goes into the decisive phase. The bushes do not provide direct protection from the enemy, but they often prevent him from noticing you immediately. Besides, it’s not easy to aim at you from a great distance when you’re half covered by leaves. At this point, in addition to snipers, you must always expect turrets. They are even harder to see in the bushes.

Numbani: Point 10 – Flank run

If you don’t want to take the direct way to the point as an attacker, you can evade to the flank. At least one hero should do this. Otherwise, the enemy is guaranteed to make use of it and fall into your team’s side or back. Tanks are also useful here. When they come across the flank, the defenders’ concentration is directed towards it and the cargo can continue relatively undisturbed.

Numbani: Point 11 – Viewing platform

From the platform, you can overlook the entire end area of the map. However, the balcony is also a showcase where you will be seen by almost all enemies. For this reason, only resistant heroes should take position here. In any case, it’s a good idea to secure the stairs down with a mine or self-shooting devices. Otherwise, you’ll have to keep an ear to the ground to avoid being surprised. But if you manage to stay relatively unnoticed up there, you can quickly wipe out the entire attacking team before they know what’s happening. To do this, however, you as the defender must not be too aggressive and must hold back until the attackers turn their backs on you.

Numbani: Point 12 – Crossfire

As with most maps in cargo haul mode, the defenders like to set up turrets on either side of the final checkpoint for the last few meters, allowing the attackers to get caught in the crossfire. The attacking team must be prepared for this. One possibility is the flank mentioned in point 10, over which you can fall into the side of the turrets. Otherwise you have to act coordinated and together. Otherwise one hero after the other will run around the corner and lie in the dirt.

Numbani: Point 13 – Archway

In addition to the large flank, the attackers can also take the shorter path through the building. Due to the narrowness, especially melee fighters prefer this variant. As an attacker, however, you can be sure that the last archway is secured with plenty of selfies or a mine. Keep an extra eye on it if you decide to attack this way. Generally, though, it’s not too good an idea. If the arch is not secured, then you can expect a defending gun to target you as soon as you stick your head out or shells to fly towards you beforehand.
