Overwatch Kings Row map guide – all sneak paths, sniper positions and more

: Kings Row – The contested point

Overview start and checkpoint 1

This is where it all happens at the beginning. The snipers and turrets first entrench themselves at points 3 and 4. Via point 5 (second floor in the house) you reach the large courtyard via a sneak path, where you can target the defenders, who especially the first and the last checkpoint on King’s Row. Defenders can always take cover at the statue in the middle and pick up a medipack there. Another medipack is in the house on the left, which attackers can also use to get behind the enemy ranks.

Kings Row: Points 1 and 5: The house on the right side

Right at the start, the house on the right side is the best place of refuge as an attacker. Here you can take the defenders under fire as a ranged fighter and take a sneak path (5) behind the ranks of the enemies via a side corridor. From the balcony you can overlook almost the entire first checkpoint, where most of the defenders are. However, you will also be sitting on a plate (see point 4). If you get hit, there is a medipack on the first floor.

Kings Row: Point 2 – Close the entrance

Even before the attackers reach the first checkpoint and thus unlock the cargo, you can block their way with heroes like Mei. The attackers then have to take the way over the house (see 1), jump over the wall with special abilities or simply hold out. However, the way over the wall is usually not a good idea, because the defenders are waiting here and your team can hardly or not at all support you. Firing and blocking this bottleneck can give you victory in the best case.

Kings Row: Point 3 – Sneak paths and sniper positions

Here you can see the first checkpoint. Now both teams can unfold a bit more. The staircase on the right leads to the sneak paths. At the top center is a small lookout – perfect for snipers and turrets. Point 4 on the map is another sniper/remote fighter position.

Overwatch: Kings Row – The second crunch point

Kings Row point 6 – Half is done

This point is another sticking point. The attackers move with the cargo on the street. In these narrow corridors, you always catch damage easily and have to wait for dead teammates to venture further. There are three other ways by which the attackers can attack this point: Via the sneak path (7 below), via the upper passage in the house and the path by the mediapack (see drawing). All three ways are easy for the defenders to defend. If you’re lucky, you’ll land a devastating ultimate via the sneak path.

Kings Row point 7 – Go over the sneak paths

Already after the first checkpoint, you can run all the way down the cargo via a parallel path where no one on the road will see you. This way, with a little timing, you can get to the side or maybe even behind the enemy team. This way you can distract your opponents or wipe out the team with an ultimate like from Tracer, D.Va or Reaper. However, the lone fighter role is only useful if you can really damage the enemy team.

Kings Row point 8 – The lookout

The point we marked 8 at the bottom of the big map is the best point in the last part of the map. As a ranged fighter, you can get on the nerves of enemies here and have ideal cover. Attackers can only reach this point via an eternally long running path that starts at the back of the first checkpoint. Theoretically, heroes like Genji or Pharah could also reach this point faster, but they have to fight their way through your team first. You can reach the sneak path at 9 via the marked point and have an eye on the path at 7. You can quickly reach checkpoint 3 via a grid path and – if you want – you can take the long way through the houses and surprise the enemies from behind.

Overwatch: Kings Row – The Final Third

Kings Row point 10 and 11 – The last crunch before the finish line

At position 10, you’ll find yourself on your feet with the opposing team towards the end. The small room is accessible from three sides

and protects you from enemies shooting at you at the aiming point. If you control this point long enough, you’ll get the victory in the end. In addition to cover, this position also offers a medipack, which is always hotly contested. Even if you don’t need the medipack, you’ll keep snatching it away from your opponent.

Kings Row point 12 – Take cover

When the attackers come around the penultimate turn with the cargo, you can take it straight to the target. Walls and crates on the opposite side of point 10 will give you enough cover. However, there is always a risk that you will be surprised via a sneak path.

In Overwatch, heroes fight in a variety of around the world. From the technological wonder Numbani to the production center Volskaya, each map has its own layout and very specific conditions that your team must fulfill in order to win.

The battles of the heroes of Overwatch will be fought on the various maps. At the same time, the locations differ not only because of their scenery, but also their modes.

If you want to play successfully in Overwatch, you need to know not only the heroes, but also their surroundings. After all, the different maps offer a variety of flanks to stab the enemy team in the back, in addition to the main path. However, not all of them are suitable for everyone. We’ll also show you the most popular places for snipers and where turrets like to hide. Knowing the position of the medipacks is also a big advantage in the battle. We will show you all this in our detailed map guides. For a better overview, we have divided the maps into the three game modes. We’ll start with point capture and then move on to cargo transport/escort and control.
