During the Omnic crisis, this bastion unit was on the front line. Now this curious robot explores the world and is fascinated by its nature, but at the same time it is wary of frightened humans.

Bastion robot units were originally designed for peacetime missions and have the ability to reconfigure themselves depending on the situation. But during the Omnic Crisis, these weapons were turned against their human creators and made up the bulk of the Omnic rebel army. In the aftermath of the crisis, almost all Bastion units were dismantled or destroyed. To this day, they most memorably symbolize the horrors of that war.

Only one Bastion unit survived the war. In the final battles of the war, the unit was severely damaged and remained in a deactivated state, forgotten on the battlefield for more than a decade. There it was exposed to the elements, slowly rusting away as nature gradually reclaimed it. Plants entwined her body and birds made their nests on her, but the robot remained motionless and seemed oblivious to the passage of time. Until one fateful day, he unexpectedly reactivated himself. He had almost completely lost his combat programming and instead showed a strong curiosity for nature and its inhabitants. OVERWATCH

Overwatch is a team-based 6vs6 shooter that was released on May 24, 2016. Overwatch stays true to the true style of Blizzard’s previous titles. It was developed by Jeff Kaplan and is considered a “new concept” shooter in the FPS genre. The game was officially unveiled at BlizzCon along with 12 heroes on November 7, 2014.

The story of Overwatch is set on a highly fictionalized future version of Earth. In a time where humans and robots, which are called Omnics, live together (Chris Metzen hinted that the story deals with this very robot race). 30 years before the time when Overwatch takes place, the so-called “Omnic Crisis ” occurred. The robots, once helpers of humans, rebelled against their creators for reasons as yet unknown and triggered a worldwide chaos.
