Activision Blizzard fires employees with dubious severance pay

Activision Blizzard is reportedly laying off 50 employees as part of a major restructuring of its Esports division. The layoffs will affect both the Call of Duty League and the Overwatch League, weeks before the latter starts its 2021 – Season .

Overwatch

Overwatch is a multiplayer first-person shooter from the US game developer Blizzard Entertainment. The game is set in Blizzard’s fourth fantasy universe after Warcraft, StarCraft and Diablo. Overwatch was released in May 2016 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Since then, bug fixes (patches) and updates have been released at regular intervals.
