Kiriko: The teleporting healer

What can Kiriko do? In the gameplay trailer of Kiriko, it can be seen that it is expected to be a support heroine who supports her teammates. To do this, Kiriko casts so-called Ofuda talismans, which she uses to heal her teammates (minute 00:25).

In addition to her healing ability, Kiriko also possesses knives called kunai that she can throw at her enemies, causing them damage (minute 00:35).

Particularly noticeable in the trailer, however, was a teleport ability that the heroine can even use to get to her team members through walls (minute 00:40). Walls are rarely a challenge for the new supporter, because like Genji and Hanzo, she can simply climb them with her passive ability (minute 00:47).

At minute 00:53, we also see that Kiriko can throw some kind of bell on the ground near her allies, which not only gives them a boost that apparently makes them immortal for a short time, but also removes all debuff effects from them.

On top of that, Kiriko’s Ultimate ability is said to pave a way for her teammates by giving them increased movement speed, increased attack speed, increased reload speed, and a reduction in cooldowns (minute 01:11)

“Finally the Supports / Healers are getting some love!”

What do the players say? Many players find Kiriko’s demonstrated abilities impressive. While some are looking forward to her and see her as a good support heroine, other players already fear that she might be too strong (op = overpowered) (via YouTube).

What else was shown? In addition to the new heroine Kiriko, Overwatch 2 also showed a trailer for the first – Season of the shooter at Tokyo Games Show 2022.
