Overwatch 2, Blizzard’s hotly anticipated team shooter, will soon enter its beta phase so you can try out the new content. This will still be possible in June 2022 – the registration for this goes hand in hand with a Reveal event.
With a short teaser, the folks at Blizzard have revealed the next tank class for Overwatch 2: the Junker Queen! The tough warrior with the Mad Max look will be unveiled on June 16, 2022 in a big Reveal Event still with a full cinematic video. As part of this event, fans will also get their first look at a new Overwatch map. And the kicker to the whole thing? You can still try out both Junker Queen and the new map in June 2022 – the beta launch is imminent, as the developers revealed on Twitter:
When does the beta of Overwatch 2 begin?
Starting June 28, 2022, beta participants will be allowed to try out the Junker Queen and a new map of the upcoming online shooter. Registration for the beta will be unlocked alongside Blizzard’s reveal event on June 16, 2022. The free peek into the beta of Overwatch 2 then also prepares a bit for the new price culture of Overwatch: Overwatch 2 will namely be a Free2Play game, unlike its predecessor, with Battle Pass, banners and weapon tags as part of the monetization. The release is also confirmed for this year – but in an Early Access version.
