Since the release of the no-build mode in Fortnite, the battle royal shooter has received a big boost. Shooter enthusiasts can now blithely shoot with their friends without having to rely on building. Ninja, however, thinks that Arena Mode should rather keep building.
Who is Ninja? Ninja is one of the experts in Fortnite. With his breakthrough in the BR shooter, Ninja was one of the most successful Fortnite streamers ever. He streamed a lot and was also in some tournaments, with his rival Tfue.
Ninja’s years of experience with Fortnite have allowed him to form an educated opinion on what’s good for the battle royal and what could hurt it. As the hype around Fortnite grew again and the non-building attracted Ninja again, he discussed other possible changes in Fortnite in his stream.
In the process, the topic of the arena in Fortnite came up and how it would fare with another implementation of a separate mode without building.
Non-building in the arena could cause problems
What does Ninja think about this? On May 4, Ninja briefly addressed the topic of what the consequences of a change would be on Arena Mode. Here’s what he had to say in his stream: “I don’t know if they (Epic Games) want to divide their community that much, even though there’s a zero build and build solo, duos, trios, team […]”.
Ninja thinks that would not happen
Not only would such an implementation in Fortnite, with its already myriad modes, divide the community, but it would also ensure that the crass pros would commit to one mode and then terrorize it.
However, Ninja also assumes that Epic won’t dare take this step of splitting, saying the following, “I don’t think they want to do that. I wouldn’t do that if I were them, there literally don’t exist enough players in the game to split the modes that much.”
Could Epic split the arena anyway? It could be possible, but we also believe that Epic will not dare to take this step. Competitive playlists are challenging, and so they shouldn’t be available to everyone. Players train hard to get to the level of the blatant pros.
A change would not only turn the arena mode upside down, but also confuse the pros. Many cash caps in which high prize money is at stake are based on the premise of being able to build extremely well.
What then should e-athletes focus their training on when you can decide whether to build or not to build? A split would be the result.
What do you guys think about the idea of Fortnite modifying and customizing the Arena mode? Do you think the arena should keep building so players have a challenge, or would you participate in the arena if there was no building there either? Let us know in the comments!
