Officially, the year 2022 is already in its third month, but for Rainbow Six: Siege it’s only just starting. With Demon Veil, the first – Season of the seventh year in the PvP shooter has started, and it has a lot to offer in terms of content.

When is the release of – Season Demon Veil?
The first – Season of 2022 called Demon Veil for Rainbow Six: Siege is March 15 started and is expected to run for three months.

New operator: Azami
Demon Veil brings Azami into the game on the operator side. The young defender has a modified kunai as a special ability, but it does not serve as a weapon. Instead, she can use it to close up holes in walls from a safe distance. Defender Castle surprisingly gets competition with it.
In terms of weapons, Azami relies on either the SMG 9x19VSN or the ACS12 shotgun, and as a pistol, the D-50. As an additional gadget, there is room for a contact grenade or some barbed wire.
Important: You can’t unlock Azami for in-game currency right away. The defender will be available exclusively to purchasers of the new Battle Pass for 14 days at the beginning. After that, Azami will be available to everyone else.
New Map: Emerald Plains
It’s been over three years since Rainbow Six: Siege got its last new map. But that will soon come to an end. In the course of the current – Season there will be with the Emerald Plains a new mapwhich is designed for competitive matches.
The new map is set in Ireland, more precisely in one of the country clubs there. Similar to the Café Dostoevsky map, Emerald Plains will have quite high ceilings and plenty of opportunities to blow up walls.

New game mode: Team Deathmatch
Those who like to shoot in Rainbow Six: Siege can be especially happy: With Demon Veil, team deathmatch is now available as its own game mode. In matches lasting a maximum of five minutes, two teams of 5 players each fight to achieve 75 eliminations as quickly as possible.
To do this, players can access all operators, whether defenders or attackers, but not their special abilities. Only the shield operators like Blitz, Montagne or Clash are not available. Drones, barricades and other gadgets also have to be dispensed with.
New feature: attacker reelection
What is already planned as a feature for year 6 is now coming with Demon Veil: the attacker re-election. During the preparation phase of a match you can Attackers can now still change their operator and equipment afterwardsto better adapt to the strategy of the defenders.
Also new with Demon Veil: a fresh Battlepass that gives you access to cosmetic items
The developers hope that this will make drones even more important in the preparation phase. Above all, uncovering defenders or their gadgets can henceforth become a sticking point for the course of a match.
Other changes: Goyo rework and weapon sights
Small rework for Goyo: The defender struggled with a low pick rate in the past, which was partly due to his less flexible gadget that could only be attached to shields.The developers have started right there: From now on, the so-called Volcán canisters, which activate a fire bomb when triggered, also stick to walls and floors.
Universal weapon sights: Primary weapons and some secondary weapons also gain access to all non-magnifying sights with Demon Veil. This includes flare, reflex, and holo sights, which are now applicable to almost all weapons.
