What happens on 08.12. in Warzone?

The Battle Royale takes over the complete graphics engine from Vanguard and gets a whole new map – the Pacific island “Caldera”:

Sprawling beaches, humid jungle areas and neat housing complexes – what sounds like an escape from the German winter is the new map of Warzone, which is quite different from its predecessor “Verdansk”.

Starting on December 08, you will then no longer launch Warzone from Modern Warfare’s launcher, but together with the new Vanguard. Whether you will be allowed to play the new Warzone map directly depends on whether you have purchased Vanguard. Buyers have 24 hours of Early Access:

• Caldera access for Vanguard buyers: December 08.
• Caldera access without Vanguard: 09 December

Without Early Access you can already test the new graphics, but only on the small, familiar map Rebirth Island. All information about the big change of the warzone can be found here:

What happens on 08.12. in Vanguard?

All the details about the launch of the first – Season are not yet known. But there’s definitely a decent slew of new content:

• Start of – Season 1 on December 08
• 3 new maps for the multiplayer
• 3 operators to unlock
• New alliances, missions and more for zombie mode
• Battle Pass with 2 new weapons

So far it is still unclear whether the zombie mode will be expanded by the important “Easter Egg”. So far, the mode is purely a shooting gallery with no real objective. The zombies do get a power-up with each completed round, but that’s all that changes after a certain point.

For sure we know that the first Vanguard “Battle Pass” is launching and also brings 2 new weapons. The roadmap also talks about new “equipment”. Possibly there are also new killstreaks, grenades or similar.

Almost 2 weeks before the actual release, the most important update of the Warzone this year is postponed. How this will affect the schedule of the 3 events that were supposed to run before the launch of Caldera is not quite clear yet.

Currently, the first of these events is already online – a crazy nostalgia mode with massive amounts of old mechanics from the last 18 months of Warzone.
