already introduced the Rocket Pass in May, which is reminiscent of the from Fortnite and offers players new ways to unlock items. More detailed information is now available and the price for the premium version is also known.

Last month, Psyonix presented the roadmap of . for this summer. Not only were various events announced, but the developer studio also presented a revised progression system, changes in the distribution of experience points, and the so-called “Rocket Pass”, which is based on the concept of the Battle Pass from Fortnite: Battle Royale. For the time being, Psyonix has kept details about this new way to get in-game items to itself. In the meantime, however, more detailed information about the Rocket Pass concept has been published.

It was already known in advance that it will be available in a free and a paid version. However, there was no price yet. The price has now been set and is 9.99 US dollars. The Rocket Pass is available on all platforms on which Rocket League is playable, i.e. PC, Playstation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Rewards are earned in stages and drop more frequently in the Premium variant. In addition, the paid pass offers exclusive items as well as otherwise paid keys for crates. Users of the free variant only receive decryptors in addition to cosmetic items. These also open the random crates, but received items are not exchangeable. Another advantage of the Premium Rocket Pass are the so-called “Pro Tiers”. Once you’ve completed all the tiers, you can earn additional items in tiers later on. These are randomly colored or certified rewards. There are also two boosts, “XP Awards” for faster unlocking of reward levels and “XP Awards” for faster level ascents, which are active for the duration of the premium model. Individual levels can also be unlocked with keys, and the “Weekly Win Bonus” also allows for faster progress. Here, the wins achieved count. Other challenges, such as goals, assists and saves, will not be available so as not to influence the game too much.

According to Psyonix, there will be several passes per year. However, there is no information about the number. However, it is promised that items will never appear twice in the Rocket Pass.
