New Icon SBC brings two top strikers & a ZDM

A series of new icon SBCs in 21 Ultimate Team has started. This time you can get the Prime Icon Moments card of Kenny Dalglish, Alessandro Del Piero and Michael Essien. But is it worth it at all? Which card should you take?

The last squad of Icon SBCs was released not long ago, and EA Sports is now releasing three more Squad Building Challenges – just before the Team of the – Season . You can get Kenny Dalglish, Alessandro Del Piero and Michael Essien – but is it worth it?

How much do the new Icon SBCs in FIFA 21 Ultimate Team cost?
As with the last SBCs, the Prime Icon Moments cards are no bargain. Not surprising, since they are three of the best legends the FUT mode has to offer:

  • Striker Kenny Dalglish (93 OVR) costs around 1.45 million coins.
  • Center forward Del Piero (93 OVR) costs about 755,000 coins
  • ZDM Michael Essien (91 OVR) costs just under 1.14 million coins

Which icon SBCs are worthwhile?

In terms of value, of course, all three new Icon SBCs are extremely strong. However, if you add the price, the whole thing looks a little different.

The cheapest SBC, that of Juve legend Del Piero, is not worth it at all. The Italian is currently being traded on the PlayStation transfer market for around 710,000 coins. That’s considerably less than the SBC costs.

Michael Essien’s SBC, on the other hand, is a bit more exciting. However, a FUT Birthday Arturo Vidal cost less than half the price.

That really only leaves Dalglish, who has truly outstanding stats and 5-star weak-foot. But even here, the SBC turns out to be less exciting, because the brand-new EoaE card of Sergio Agüero or TOTY Robert Lewandowski cost less and also offer even better values.
