At gamescom, the MEDION booth will focus on the gaming PCs and laptops of the ERAZER brand. In addition, the corresponding accessories, such as monitors, gaming chairs and peripherals, will be presented at the fair. Visitors:inside can take a look at all the products and learn more about them. This also includes special casemods, which testify to great creativity of the individual artists:in.

“We are winning over the gamer scene at gamescom with our new ERAZER products and showing what it means to always have your finger on the pulse with innovations,” explains Dr. Thomas Greussing, Director Marketing at MEDION. “In addition, scouting at the MEDION ERAZER Truck Tour gives us the chance to get active ourselves and help shape the Esports scene.”
The scouting will be broadcast on an LED wall for the spectators:inside in front of the truck. There will also be exciting interviews and meet and greets with FOKUS guests, and host Reto Canova will comment on the action.

All eyes on the Major X10
The highlight at the booth is the MEDION ERAZER Major X10. Thanks to its compact size, the laptop fits perfectly in a backpack and offers first-class gaming performance at the same time. It is primarily characterized by Intel Arc technology: The A730M graphics card with 12 gigabytes of VRAM is installed in the Major X10 for the first time in Europe. Further performance is added by the Intel Core i7-12700H processor and the RAM of up to 32 gigabytes of DDR5 RAM. All this ensures immersive gameplay and smooth graphics on the 16-inch screen. The panel comes up with QHD+ and a refresh rate of 165 hertz. The special feature: Thanks to the 16:10 aspect ratio, the Major X10 has an almost identical form factor to a 15-inch laptop, but offers an 11 percent larger display. For temperature regulation, an XXL bottom grille allows plenty of cool air to be sucked in, and two fans efficiently transport warm air out via four outlets. The MEDION ERAZER Major X10 will be launched at the beginning of September 2022.

Special power with the high-end gaming PC Hunter X30
In addition to the Major X10, MEDION is also presenting its new high-performance gaming PC MEDION ERAZER Hunter X30 at gamescom. As the successor to the proven Hunter X20, it delivers optimal gaming power with a built-in Intel Core i9-12900KF processor and 32 GB DDR5 RAM with 4,800 MHz. Immersion into the gaming world is successful thanks to the high-end NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics card, which ensures sharp images. In addition, the case has an optimized front, which ensures more efficient cooling. So it’s “stay cool” – even during hot gaming sessions. The MEDION ERAZER Hunter X30 will be available in the MEDION online store just in time for Gamescom.

Cooperation with FOKUS
FOKUS has launched an Esports Academy. The FOKUS Esports Academy program, supported by MEDION ERAZER, serves to scout and promote new talents in the three disciplines Fortnite, FIFA and VALORANT.

The MEDION ERAZER Truck Tour will kick off in Cologne, Germany, on August 25, 2022, marking the start of the scouting tour in the Fortnite discipline. A total of seven scouting rounds will be played daily, in each of which 18 participants will demonstrate their skills. The participants will be selected daily on site at gamescom. The game is played in the so-called “Zonewars” format, the final phase of a Fortnite game. Well-known players from FOKUS will evaluate the skills of the competitors and distribute up to eight tickets for the Grand Final.

The other stops on the MEDION ERAZER Truck Tour are in Hamburg, Munich and Berlin. There and in other online tournaments, players will qualify for the Grand Final in November 2022, where a total of 100 talented players will compete against each other. The game will be streamed live on Twich.tv and moderated by members of Fokus. The person in first place wins a sponsorship contract and a place on the FOKUS junior team.
