At Blizzcon 2019, Blizzard Entertainment announced the second part of Overwatch. The information about Overwatch 2 is quite clear. “I’ve heard from several people close to my original source for Overwatch 2 that development is taking longer than expected. From what I can gather, a 2022 release no longer seems likely. I hope this is not true, and, that I am wrong. However, if this is true, then rest in peace Overwatch. There’s no way the game will survive a year and a half without any major updates.”

Currently, the number of Overwatch players is stagnating, which could be a reason for the leaker’s assumption that the game will not last much longer. To this end, it must be said that these statements contrast with a statement on the part of Blizzard from last week. At that time, it was said that they had reached a significant milestone in development. As always, such news and leaks should be taken with a grain of salt.
