Safehouse is a War Games map for Arms Race, Demolition, and Flying Scotsman featured in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.
Overview
This map was introduced with the original release of the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive beta and is available in Demolition, Arms Race, and Flying Scoutsman modes. In this map, the Terrorists are the Professionals and the Counter-Terrorists are the SWAT team.
Safehouse begins with the Counter-Terrorists behind the house and Terrorists in front of it. As this is a very small map, most of enemy contact is made along the middle from the house to the fence.
Official Description (Demolition)
Counter-Terrorists: Prevent Terrorists from bombing the safe. Team members must defuse any bombs that threaten targeted area.
Terrorists: The Terrorist carrying the C4 must destroy the safe.
Other Notes: This is a Demolition map and players cannot purchase weapons. A rifle for the first round, and if the player manages to eliminate at least one enemy in the round, the player is given a weaker weapon for the next round. The team will change after 10 rounds and the match is over when a team reaches 11 rounds.
Trivia
- As with most Demolition maps, this map is loosely based off a Left 4 Dead map. In this case, the Farmhouse in the finale (Farmhouse Finale) of Blood Harvest.
- There is a hidden door in the kitchen on the bottom floor. If you go to the short wall behind the trash can in the kitchen and press the “open door” key, a door will swing out from inside the wall, knocking the trash can over. The most common assumption is that this was an unused door that Valve forgot to remove during development.
