Motel is a Hostage Scenario map in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive . It depicts an American motel. The map was submitted to the Steam Workshop on February 11, 2013 by Soctom and Cocyx . It was part of Operation Payback from April 25 to August 31, 2013  and was temporarily included in the official CS map canon.
Construction
On the map there is a motel with an associated canteen, which is housed in an additional building. The anti-terrorist unit must advance to the back of the motel where the hostages are in the rooms. You can choose either the route over the pool and behind the motel, the direct route through reception or the ground floor of the motel, or through the restaurant. The numerous hotel rooms, which are fully developed on two floors and offer good hiding places, are particularly specific to the map. In addition, the continuous balcony on the front offers snipers various shooting positions.

On February 10, 2014, it was announced that Motel would once again be part of an upcoming Operation, as the map received enough votes in a community vote. During Operation Payback, an average of 47,910 rounds were played daily on the map, with the  terrorists winning 54.24% of the time. From February 20 to June 4, 2014, she was part of Operation Phoenix .
