Wet Work is a medium-sized multiplayer map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It is set on a cargo ship during a storm and is based on the campaign mission Crew Expendable.
Description
The design of the map could be described as quite symmetrical. Both teams spawn at one end, either at the stern or at the bow of the ship, from where you can immediately go to the cabins above to get a good overview of the whole map.
The center of the map is dominated by two bridges. Between them is the deck, where there are mainly containers, which make the map much narrower. This is also where you get to the center of the map, where most of the battles take place.
Info
- When the player looks up at the moon, he can see a cloud that looks like a dog. The snout is up and the mouth is open. This is also present in the accompanying single player mission.
- If you play old school game modes, you can escape from the map, but then you fall infinitely. You have to go to one of the two cranes in the middle and jump onto it from a broken fence. Once there, you can run to the far end and jump into the water optimally, though it may take you a few tries. The crane that is already facing the sea is the most suitable, but technically it works with all of them.
- Sometimes, though rarely, you can hear voices on the south side of the map.
- The map Highrise from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has similar structures to Wet Work, for example the two sniper positions at each end of the map and the possibility to capture an enemy as easily as you can right after spawn.
- The name of the map is another term for assassination.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
