Storm is a large multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 that appeared with the Stimulus map pack.

Description

Storm is set in an open warehouse area, where a lot of heavy machinery is standing around. As you can tell from the name, there is a violent storm raging outside the warehouse. The map shares some similarities with Killhouse and Vacant from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare.

The map has great places for fighting in tight spaces, you can fight with machine guns over the medium distance and even snipers get their money’s worth. Overall, the perfect map for any game mode.

• Flag A in Domination has a painting of a ghost on the wall under the bridge.
• There are a total of 50 mannequins on the map.
• On the containers of the map is listed the company “Oscar Mike’s”, but it uses as a logo the face of Captain Price.
• In one of the rooms in the warehouse there are some bags full of cocaine.
• Task Force 141’s spawn point on this map is unique because it is technically outside the map. The team immediately jumps off a wall onto the map, but it is not possible to get back to the spawn. You can place a tactical entry directly and kill enemies until it is destroyed.
• If you follow the railroad tracks to the left of the spawn just mentioned, they go right through a building.
• If you go into spectator mode and fly out of the map, you can see the building from backlot. It looks exactly like it did in Modern Warfare, but the graphics have been improved and it’s a bit darker because Storm is just very dark and stormy, while Backlot was playing in the desert.
• You can see the OpFor icons because originally this faction was supposed to take on the Rangers, but Infinity Ward changed that at the last second to Task Force 141 against Spetsnaz.
• Storm and Underpass are the only maps in Modern Warfare 2 where it rains.
• In a small, unguarded area of the warehouse are four sleeping bags with camouflage patterns, the same as on Quarry.
• In the trailer, this map is covered in snow and it is snowing, which later turned out to be a surprise for many when they played this map for the first time.
