Stonehaven is a multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Ghosts, set in Scotland. It is one of the largest maps in the game, and it may even be the largest map itself.
Description
Stonehaven houses a lot of open land, several small houses and a real castle, which however is only accessible to a limited extent. If you shoot at the large metal gate near the castle, it falls to the ground and closes the fastest entrance to the castle for a short time. If you use explosives, you can blow up the door again and the entrance is free. If there is someone under the falling gate, it is probably unnecessary to mention that he is dead.
Info
- Near the edge of the map there is a crashed object, which is quite similar to the one from the campaign mission No Man’s Land.
- On one of the tourist information signs there is a certain “Lord Dobbie” as the former noble owner of the castle. That’s probably where John Dobbie, Senior Enviroment Artist at Infinity Ward and co-developer of Ghosts, has his fingers in the pie.
- On another sign, the castle bears the name “Serozh Castle”, named after Serozh Sarkisyan, another Senior Enviroment Artist at Infinity Ward.
- In the middle of the map is a tractor (which you can’t destroy), outside the boundary walls as well.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
