Maps Call of Duty – Radiation

Maps Call of Duty - Radiation
A look at radiation

Radiation is a multiplayer map from : Black Ops.

Overview

The setting of Radiation is a uranium plantation. Among other things, it contains a conveyor belt that can lead to a gruesome death. There are also two gigantic metal gates in the ground in the middle, which can only be opened by pressing two switches from a certain distance. If you play conquest matches, the switches play a big role, since Flag B is located directly under the gates. Besides, the tunnels of flag B also lead to A and C, so you should keep an eye on them.

The two switches are located across from each other. One is on a small platform between two huge tanks, the other is in a small room overlooking the hall with the explosive tanks. Each of the switches can either open or close the doors.

Info

  • Just like on Cracked and Grid, there are clocks on Radiation that show the player’s exact local time. The two clocks on this map are located in the building in the back next to the truck.
  • Outside the map are grave stations, the model of which was also used for the zombie map Moon.
  • The explosive tanks in the factory can’t be destroyed by weapon fire, but if you fire a napalm attack or other explosive launch at the building, the tanks will blow up, killing everyone nearby.
  • If you jump into the green water that is inside the factory, you die instantly.
  • If you lie face down on the conveyor belt, not looking at the death trap, you won’t fall in when you come up.
  • The liquid disappears if you place a tactical entry nearby.
  • Any equipment you put on the metal gates will break when the gates are opened.
  • Equipment does not move on the conveyor belt.
  • Light still shines through the closed metal gates.
  • The gates in the middle don’t keep fire out, which is handy when you want to eliminate enemies who are trying to hide underground.
  • When a player falls into the chopper at the end of the conveyor belt, you hear the same crunching sound that occurs in Call of Duty: World at War when a character is run over by a tank.
  • In betting games, you can open the doors in the middle, but it’s not possible to go underground, which means you’ll be moving on the air above the tunnel.
  • When the doors are closed, anyone standing on them or in the path of the doors is killed.
  • In combat training, the bots try to use the conveyor belt, however the AI is not smart enough to jump at the end, which ends in the death of the bot.
  • In the background of the map there is a construct, which looks very similar to the map Rust from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
  • On a machine there is a golden image of the loading screen.
  • At the end of each round, the jib crane moves in the background.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
