Maps Call of Duty - Overgrown
Overgrown

Overgrown is a large multiplayer map from 4: Modern Warfare and where you can play it with the Stimulus Map Pack.

Description

Overgrown is a wide open map with lots of plants and hiding places. It has three hot spots; a farm in the north of the map that houses a large barn and two cornfields where there is plenty of cover. To the south, a winding road travels along the path, there are buildings on the sides, and horizontally across the map is a dried up riverbed that has bridges to cross it to the west and east. Snipers especially like the map because it’s very large and open, plus there are always close quarters fights in the houses. In addition, the green vegetation ensures that you can easily adapt to the environment without being detected. North of the riverbed in the middle of the map is a two-story farmhouse, where an M249 SAW was mounted in Modern Warfare and a minigun in Modern Warfare 2. It is accessible from all parts of the map.

Info

Modern Warfare

  • In the Wii version, the map has significantly less vegetation than on the Xbox/Playstation 3/PC because the graphical prerequisites just aren’t there.
  • One of the cars near flag B in Herrschaft has RETARD0 on the license plate. Retard is an English insult and is roughly similar to the German insult “Spast”.
  • You can shoot through the destroyed wall to the left of the barn without reducing the damage of your weapons.
  • In the south of the map you can find the name “Alexander Roycewicz” hidden on a building outside the map. This is the lead multiplayer map designer of infinity ward at that time.

Modern Warfare 2

  • There are three visible changes on the map. The SAW has been replaced with a minigun, the teddy bears have received an update for the latest look, and glass has been added to most of the windows.

Call of Duty

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
