Ignition is a multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Ghosts that appeared with the Onslaught DLC. It is a remake of the popular map Scrapyard from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
Specialties
- There is a special field mission that involves some machine testing. The player activates the machines and everyone underneath or in the tunnels burns. The test lasts 10 seconds. After performing it, it is possible to get it again in the same match.
- In the northeast corner of the map, a countdown starts a few seconds after the match begins, counting down from 60. The last seconds are counted down by an announcer. At zero, a rocket flies off from its launch platform in the background and takes off several hundred meters into the sky, but is then hit by a kinetic blast and crashes. One or more pieces of the rocket crash onto the map, killing anyone they catch.
- In a lab to the west, there is a button that says “Hold to activate rocket launch”. If you do that, the launch platform starts burning and everyone under it dies instantly.
Extinction
After the rocket explodes and the pieces fall onto the map, an egg sticks out of the tunnel in the west in the wall from the Extinction game mode. You have to shoot it to check it off. If you find an egg on all maps from the Onslaught DLC, you get 2000 experience points.
Info
- In the tunnels there are traces of cryptids, the enemies from Extinction. They are marked by orange colors.
- In a building on the map you can look through a glass window into a control room. There you can see the word ODIN, but mirrored.
- This is the first map where you can get the special field order more than once in a match.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
