Favela is a medium-sized multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. It was originally supposed to be included with the Variety map pack for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, but was not included in the game.
Description
Favela has different levels and is set in the poverty district of Rio de Janeiro. The map is based on the single player missions The Hornet’s Nest and Access. You’ll experience especially fast-paced hand-to-hand combat more often here. Appropriately, there are also some narrow alleys, and many large buildings are advantageous for snipers. Most of the map takes place in airy heights, most of the rooftops are accessible and you have a lot of space on them. In the middle there is a small soccer field, which is usually fiercely contested. Overall, Favela fits most game modes and supports many play styles.
Most of the buildings have two floors, which makes it difficult to track opponents. If you get on the elevations, you have a longer range, but you always have to stay alert, because there are hardly any opportunities for cover on the rooftops. The extra commando as well as the tactical knife turn out to be extremely advantageous, because enemies often rush straight at the player. The Pro version of Kommando is also recommended because it turns off the falling damage. Sometimes the easiest way to escape an enemy on the rooftops is to simply jump down.
If a team controls the rooftops, this is obviously useful to have a game in hand, but there is more than one access point on each rooftop. This is further aided by the fact that you can virtually jump from rooftop to rooftop. Although the map is actually quite large, close combat is the order of the day, especially in the buildings leading up to rooftops.
The trench at the top of the map, where Task Force 141 spawns, is mostly overlooked because the action tends to take place down below. But this area is great for defending flags or ambushing enemies in objective-based game modes. Waiting in the trench for an enemy to grab the flag and then ambushing them is one of the most effective tactics ever. In the Domination game mode, Task Force 141 has a big advantage because it spawns right next to Flag A, while the Militia has to run a small distance to Flag C.
Controversies and removal
On October 2, 2012, a video appeared on the Youtube platform, titled “Message from Muslims to Infinity Ward”. In it, it was claimed that in a bathroom on the map above the toilet hangs a picture frame that says “Allah is beautiful and he loves beauty.” However, in Islam it is forbidden to say anything about one’s religion in a bathroom. Therefore, on October 6, 2012, the map was removed from all public playlists. On October 23, the map came back into circulation for Playstation 3, of course, the picture frame above the toilet was removed. On December 10, the same thing happened for Xbox 360. For the PC, the map is still missing to this day.

Then the camera zooms in on the screen and you can see that he is playing team deathmatch on Favela under the gamertag “pgriffin69x”, but really very badly. In the process, he gets killed by FOURZEROTWO, better known as Robert Bowling.
- In one of the Percy Jackson movies, the character Luke plays a round of free-for-all on Favela with an L86 LSW. He uses a Playstation 3 controller, but the menu is that of the Xbox 360.He also only shoots from the hip into the sky.

Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
