Broadcast is a map from the Variety map pack for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. It is based on the campaign mission Charlie Surfs Not,
except for some minor changes to make it easier for multiplayer.
Description
The map is very open in the lobby, on the roof and across from the parking lot, but it can also get much hotter in the narrow hallways of the TV building. The parking lot outside is filled with cars and protected from above by a roof. At the edge of the parking lot is a small, inconspicuous building from which snipers can eliminate enemy soldiers from the second floor of the television station. A small room from which you can see into the main broadcasting room is useful if the enemies in dominion want to capture flag B, but if you stay there too long, grenades are usually thrown after a short time. Air strikes and helicopters are usually not very useful on this map, especially if the enemy team spawns or camps in the large building.
Info
- Originally Broadcast was supposed to be in the game from the beginning, as the loading screen and minimap were already in the game files before patch 1.6.
- The place you see on the loading screen already looks similar to the final location of the action, but the light on the map has been changed.
- The original Broadcast map, which should have been there from the beginning, looked much more similar to the TV station from the campaign than the current version that came with the map pack.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
