Black Box is a multiplayer map from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3. • The crashed plane is supposedly located in California. However, in the story California is not mentioned once, especially no important event like the crash of a plane.
• The name of the map is an allusion to the so-called black box, a device in the cockpit of an airplane, in which everything is recorded that is spoken there. In the event of a crash, you search for the black box to find out, in the best case, how it happened.
• The boxes around the plane are labeled 2009, the same boxes that are on the map terminal. 2009 is the year that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was released.
