Ambush is a multiplayer map from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare that takes place at a convoy of destroyed vehicles and has a lot of elevated spots to offer.
Description
At both spawn points, you can immediately access spots with a sniper rifle in view of the center of the map and the opposite sniper positions. There are also sewers, but they are largely overlooked. This is only a small area, but it has saved many lives, especially when hiding from enemy air strikes. By jumping on some objects, you can enter destroyed buildings that would normally be inaccessible.
Sneak classes are especially good, since there are many dark alleys, cover and tall grass. Additionally, many of the buildings almost invite camping. By sneaking up on people from behind, you can easily get headshots. You should be careful, though, because in team deathmatch the spawn points change frequently and you sometimes end up in your opponent’s spawn. Many players like to rely on C4 and claymores.
Info
- The vehicle to the right of the OpFor spawn point is completely intact.
- In the middle of the destroyed tank is a teddy bear leaning against a crate.
- There is a sewer under the tanks where you can optimally hide and thus avoid the bombs of the enemies, but you should not stand too close to the exit, because then you can still be hit by the blast damage.
- Two of the three tanks in the middle of the map are on fire. If you jump on them and then run into the fire, you can die or be seriously wounded.
- The buildings on one side of the map are much more broken than those on the other side. The guns of the tanks are also aimed at this side, which could mean that they were aiming at it. The collapsed walls and roofs give many opportunities to take cover.
Call of Duty
The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
