Aftermath

Aftermath is a multiplayer map from , set in a destroyed neighborhood in downtown Los Angeles after the Cordis Die mission.

Description

Aftermath is a medium sized map with narrow corridors, wide lines of sight and many buildings for the player to enter. This makes multiple combat styles effective and often results in particularly fierce battles at certain junctions.

Agora

The Agora is located on the west side of the map and serves as a spawn point for the mercenaries. The canteen and the corresponding store on the second floor of the southern building are probably the most important contents. This is because both places have points from which you can see exactly the angles from which enemies must arrive (no one can come from behind unseen), making the area crowded with players most of the time. The canteen has two doors, one leading to the center of the map and one to the backyard of the Agora. With the window in the canteen, you can monitor three to four important entrances to the area.

The store is especially popular with snipers because you can really look over a very important area of the map through the window while having optimal cover. When storming this area, watch out for S-mines, claymores, and shock charges.

Parking lot

The parking lot is located on the east side of the map and serves as the FBI’s spawn point, plus it is similar to the location just described. The most important places are probably the two-story parking garage and the office building. The lower part of the parking garage has entrances to the west and south and is L-shaped, allowing players to walk through. A small walkway makes it even faster to get through this area. The second floor can be reached via the staircase on the east side or the rubble pile on the west. At the top, there is a huge hole in the wall facing west, so you can single-handedly control the entire area of the map that is in front of you. There’s also a small hole to the south, but it doesn’t do much good because the back, southern part of the map is rarely visited. Players who want to flank enemies on the second floor will have to watch out for enemy equipment in the stairwell.

The office building also consists of two floors and a staircase. The first floor is mostly just for getting through the building quickly, but the first floor is like the window in the store, you can look over a large area while being more or less protected from enemy bullets.

Ruins

Destroyed buildings form the center of this map. The ruins have openings in all directions, which often leads to intense fighting, because everyone wants to control this area. There is a tunnel that runs to the south and leads to the overpass with the bus, which you can also enter to secure the area a bit. Running under the overpass is a quick way to bridge the map. However, there are buildings at each end of the map from which you can easily eliminate anyone who dares to take that route.

The LA Business Centre is a partially destroyed building that dominates the north of this map. Through the first floor, you can get to any side of the map and to the center in no time. In the northwest corner of this building there is an elevator shaft that you can climb up to get to the first floor, an office. Through the office you can get to the ruins, but there is also a kind of ramp made of rubble that you can use to get back to the Agora. Thanks to the few cover options and yet rather dark light in this place, players who use camping as a strategy can be happy in this building.

The Call of Duty series has existed since 2003 and in addition to various spin-offs, including for the handheld systems Nintendo DS and Sony PSP, 14 major titles of the series have now been released. Ever since the first part of the series, great emphasis has been placed on the online multiplayer mode in addition to the single-player campaign, which is also reflected in the development of the shooter series. Since the first Call of Duty, World at     War, which was developed exclusively by Treyarch, each part also included cooperative challenges that you could play together with friends. The latest installment, Call of Duty: World War II, also features an extended multiplayer mode that puts you and your friends in the combat zones and famous battles of World War II. Using the divisions, you’ll be able to choose between the deadly sniper and the brute armored division and support your comrades in battle. In addition, World War II also has a zombie mode “Nazi Zombies”, as in its predecessor Call of Duty: Black Ops. Face the monsters of the Third Reich and win glory and honor.
