Those who reach the highest ranks in League of Legends quickly become some of the best players in the world. Brazilian streamer #Nicklink calls himself the “#GodofSoloQ” and has set himself the challenge of getting from Unranked to the Master Tier in one game session. Only the 0.5% of the best players end up there. And he made it.

How did this challenge go?

• Nicklink started the adventure on March 11, celebrating his birthday at the same time. It then took him 60 hours and 31 minutes to reach the Master Tier.
• He played these 60 hours in a row, without sleeping or going outside in between. Only some breaks for eating and for the bathroom were included.
• In total, he played 90 matches in SoloQ, winning 78% of them. 75 rounds he played on his favorite champion Jax. Also otherwise he was only on the toplane, with champions like Fiora, Tryndamere or Irelia (via op.gg).

What does the streamer say about his success?

Nicklink told live in the stream that this challenge was not easy to master. He had already set himself this task once or twice, but gave up each time after about 30 hours of play.

The streamer is all the more pleased with his success. However, some of his viewers expressed concerns because he played and streamed for so long at a stretch without sleeping in between.

Nicklink himself admitted that this challenge was not the best for his body. But following the session, he promised to go straight to sleep.

How many players reach the master tier?

This varies depending on the region. In Brazil, there are currently 0.33% of players in the Master Tier, 0.06% in the GrandMaster, and 0.02% in the Challenger Tier. This puts Nicklink in the top 0.41% of players in Brazil.

In all regions combined, Master players are among the top 0.26% in the world.

Nicklink is now one of them with this account. However, he has already brought his main account into Challenger Tier.

Besides Nicklink, dozens of other players have faced special challenges.

The well-known streamer Tyler1, for example, achieved the rank Challenger on each of the five positions, which only about 0.018% ever achieve with an account. He was even honored by the developers themselves for this achievement. Even many professionals have respect for this, because they are usually only really good at one or two positions.
