Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider starts his re-entry into the pro scene as a jungler for the Prime League team Mouz. In the interview he talks about the new start and his new team. Maurice “Amazing” Stückenschneider has been known in the League of Legends scene for quite some time. He already played for TSM and Fnatic. After a timeout from Esport he makes his comeback at Mouz in this split.
Back as a pro player
Amazings’ re-entry into the pro scene he describes as bumpy himself. With the game changing so much in such a short time, the LoL pro couldn’t rely on his experience alone.
“You could tell, of course, that there was such a small training deficit. […] But when I actually ended up at Mouz, it was scary to see how different the levels are in some cases. That my experience, for example, isn’t worth as much nowadays as it was two or three years ago, and that I actually had to do a lot of mechanical workup,” says the youngster.
It’s time for a last dance…

But that didn’t stop Amazing and his team from rocking the Prime League this split. Alongside Unicorns of Love, BIG, SK, Schalke and Eintracht Spandau, Mouz managed to earn the last spot in the playoffs.
Amazing is not entirely satisfied with their current score of 8-8, however. Originally, he expected 10 wins. However, since he sees the split as more of a marathon than a sprint, it doesn’t cause him too much of a headache as he keeps his goal in mind.
Amazing: “We might even make it to the semi-finals.”
The Jungler is convinced “that EU Masters should not be a problem[…]. The bottom line is that we only have to win two best of fives. That should probably be possible,” he says confidently, adding that he would also like to make it out of the group and perhaps even into the semifinals: “Sounds a bit ambitious, but in the end these are my personal goals, so I think it’s okay to set them high.
The reason for his positive attitude towards the EU Masters is, among other things, the Best of Five format. Here Amazing could already see in the scrims that this is much easier for the team. “Best of Five is much more strategic, much more enjoyable to play and also relaxing for people because you don’t just have one game, you potentially have five games where you can win or lose,” he enumerates.
Why Amazing wants to play against Obsess
Of course, Amazing has already thought about who he might play against in the future. He thinks that while all teams have their strengths and weaknesses, they always play the same way. Regardless of that, the youngster would prefer to play against Eintracht Spandau.
“Simply because of the fans, respectively also because Obsess is someone I personally respect as a player,” says Amazing. Especially because he has been in the “EU Masters always on top, made a name for himself and is one of the few German players, Jungler above all, who has performed at this level for such a long time.”
Before Amazing can face Obsess in the playoffs, however, there will be a clash between the two before that. Namely, on June 28, the teams Mouz and Eintracht Spandau will play each other. But first there will be the game against Unicorns of Love. After that, the first playoff games will start.
