LoL brings huge balance changes with the next update

has released the new patch 12.10 on the test servers. This update will make some drastic changes to the game and is mainly intended to weaken healing and shields. For this purpose, more than 30 items will be reworked.

What is the goal of the update? For a few years now, people have been complaining in LoL that fights are over way too quickly. The damage is way too high and at the same time the healing and shields have been extremely strengthened to counteract the high damage.

This “ping-pong” meta was criticized by former LoL pro Doublelift back in October 2021, and since then the situation has gotten even worse from many players’ point of view.

  • The new patch 12.10 is supposed to increase the natural resistance of champions while toning down shields, healing and damage.
  • In addition, the “Gash” will no longer reduce healing as much as before.
  • Overall, the battles should become slower.

However, doesn’t want to establish a meta where tanks live forever and no kills occur in the 15 minutes. This balancing act is likely to be difficult, although the changes mentioned have been positively received by the community for the time being.

At the same time, the Ocean Dragon’s healing and the Mountain Dragon’s shield are reduced. The runes are also being tweaked.

When will patch 12.10 be released? The new update is expected to be released on May 25.

What do you guys say about the planned adjustments? Are the adjustments to healing and damage enough to solve the problem, and are you worried that Riot is toning down healing too much and damage too little? Feel free to post it in the comments.

Recently, Riot had to adjust a champion because a Twitch streamer used a crazy suicide tactic:
