Where will Bjergsen play in the future? Team Liquid, a direct competitor of TSM in the American LCS, has announced the signing of Bjergsen. There he will not be active as a coach, but as a player again.

In an introduction video, Bjergsen revealed why he chose Team Liquid: “Team Liquid is similar to me in many ways. They really want to win. Winning is their number one priority.”

Does Bjergsen have a chance of international success? Team Liquid is one of the stronger teams in the LCS. They have participated in Worlds every year since 2018, albeit with little success. However, none of the American teams have had success in recent years.

Instead of young talents, only well-known professionals would be pushed back and forth. That’s exactly the case now with Bjergsen, who at 25 is already an “old hand” in LoL.

In Korea and China, on the other hand, rookies are constantly making life difficult for the long-established players. Among the strongest players at the last world championship are Canyon (20) and Showmaker (21) from runner-up DWG Kia or Viper (21) from world champion EDward Gaming. All of them are significantly younger than Bjergsen.

What happens to Jensen? Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen was the previous midlaner at Team Liquid. He will be 27 years old on January 1, 2022 and was offered a record contract by his team at the end of 2020. So he should get a sum of 4.2 million dollars over 3 years.
