Little brother deletes all rare monsters

After an argument, a boy (6) did the unthinkable: he promptly deleted all of his big brother’s rare monsters in Pokémon GO.

USA – For the past six years, you’ve been able to install Pokémon GO on your Android or iOS device and use it to catch the cute monsters in the real world. The game has found favor with countless fans – young and old alike. The AR game is still very popular in 2022. But for some, the game also causes great displeasure.

Pokémon GO: dispute escalates and leads to nasty revenge action

This is what it’s all about: On reddit, a desperate parent posted a cry for help. It is not clear whether it is the mother or father. In any case, user dascobaz has two sons who recently had a fight – as is usual between siblings. It is not clear whether the dispute was about Pokémon GO. However, after the dispute ended in the app, because the little brother (6 years) secretly took the phone of his older brother and opened the AR game.

According to dascobaz, the two brothers have been playing Pokémon GO for several years and have been able to catch several rare and legendary Pokémon as a result. After the quarrel, the little brother took revenge and unceremoniously deleted all rare Pokémon of his big brother and thus several years of hard work. Because for these Pokémon the big brother had to invest a lot of time in the game and probably also put his hard-earned pocket money into the game.

Pokémon GO: Parent shares desperate cry for help on Reddit

On the internet forum reddit, dascobaz described the tricky situation and asked if users had any other suggestions for solutions. After all, the big brother is extremely frustrated and sad – he does not want to play Pokémon GO now. The support of developer Niantic was probably already contacted, but on July 7 dascobaz still had no answer from the support from the US.

Unfortunately, users couldn’t give him or her much hope either. According to most comments, Niantic would probably not reset the game state from his child to the state before the deletion. The reason is that the support would then have to do this for all players. This is supposedly to be avoided. For this, there were plenty of ideas about what punishment the little brother should get. Most of them suggest that the 6-year-old should give some of his rare monsters to his brother.

However, some users were also extremely helpful and directly offered to send big brother some of their rare Pokémon from various events. Thus, numerous offers can be found from various states in the US, with players offering their rare monsters to the boy. The boy could also catch new rare monsters at the Pokémon GO events in July 2022.
