Leaks show maps for – Season 5 and support in 2022

Fans of the current CallofDuty can rejoice – a “recognized” leaker is talking about the fact that new content for #BlackOps #ColdWar could be coming in 2022 as well. Also, a few popular maps from the past have appeared on the datamining radar and might find their way into the game.

What’s up with CoD? is currently running – Season 4, which is about to enter mid– Season . On July 15, the next content should come and bring a few innovations for Black Ops Cold War and the Battle Royale Warzone. It will probably include “Wall of the Dead”, a new survival map for Cold War’s zombie mode. We also already know about a few weapons and the map “Rust”, which will be added in – Season 4.

But otherwise it is currently rather quiet around CoD. Hardly any info about Warzone, Cold War or the new Call of Duty of 2021. In the middle of this “lull” falls an exciting info for Cold War – a supposed insider has “heard” that Cold War will continue to be supplied with content even after the release of the new Call of Duty at the end of 2021.

New content for Cold War also in 2022

Where did the leak come from? The info comes from the well-known leaker account “Tom Henderson”. The account has been the source of a lot of exciting advance info about Call of Duty. For example, “Henderson” predicted a Free2Play “Battle Royale” for Modern Warfare – Warzone came a few months later.

Tweet translation: “I was recently told that Black Ops Cold War will likely be the most supported “Call of Duty” title after its “cycle” is over. With post-release revenue exceeding expectations.”

Support after the release of the new CoD 2021 is not entirely certain – this is an unconfirmed leak. But some fans of Cold War are likely to have their fingers crossed vigorously now. Even with the CoD of 2019 – Modern Warfare – many players would have liked to see more content or a longer live service for the shooter. Although 2 maps and a weapon were added after the end of the life cycle, CoD MW is far away from a full-fledged live service.

What could be coming in 2022? Conjectures on the subject like to go in the direction of zombie mode. Because Cold War has an extensive zombie mode, experience shows that the mode will be missing from the next CoD. Previously titled Vanguard, 2021’s CoD is likely to come without the undead and deliver a different co-op experience again.

But the zombie mode is currently very popular and even the mode experiment “Outbreak” is well received by players. CoD has its own zombie community that publishes many guides and is very active on social media.

It would make sense for Cold War to continue to feed this part of the community with content that the new Call of Duty may not want to deliver. It will be exciting to see how CoD addresses the “zombie dilemma” and prolonged support of Cold War is definitely a variant.

– Season 5 again with popular classic maps

Where do the leaks come from? The leaks about the new maps in – Season 5 come from well-known dataminers and leakers from the CoD environment. Unlike the leaks from “Henderson”, the information comes directly from the game, which does not necessarily make them more secure.

That’s because a lot of this data is only temporarily in the game or is used as a placeholder. Nevertheless, leaks from CoD’s datamining have proven to be reliable – if not particularly accurate. The info comes from “@TheMW2Ghost” and “@Cheezburgerboyz”.

What maps might be coming in – Season 5? In total, both accounts hint at 3 maps that have been in a CoD before:

  • MW2Ghost thinks that either Plaza and/or Yemen will come in – Season 5
  • Cheezburgerboyz names Plaza and Slums as maps for a remake

Yemen is known from Black Ops II and looks like a desert city with lots of small and large buildings as well as many narrow alleys. Plaza is also from Black Ops II and features a symmetrical layout that replicates a shopping mall. The map Slums made it into Black Ops 2, 3 and 4 and is set in Panama. Even then, the elements of the map were based on the style of the 80s and would thus fit very well in Cold War.

The mid– Season update should hit CoD next week, blowing a breeze of fresh air through Cold War and Warzone again. As soon as there is new information about the content, you will find it as usual on MeinMMO.
