Leak: Valorant Act 2 Battle Pass Zedd Skins Coming

The rumors were true! Zedd has teamed up with for a new skin collection. From the looks of it, we might get it along with a new act.

Rumors that famous pop producer Zedd is planning to collaborate with Riot Games surfaced just a few months before the release of the latest . You might have been following his Twitch streams and heard about his ranking achievements in . And as it turns out, he’s actually pretty good at the game; Zedd managed to level up to Immortal, playing mostly between shows.

Collaborations between pop artists and game producers are nothing new anymore. You may have recently heard about Ariana Grande’s concert in Fortnite, with whom Zedd recorded one of his more popular songs, “Break Free.” While we don’t know anything about a live show from Zedd in Valorant, we’re pretty sure he’s working on a new Episode 3 Act 2 Battle Pass skin collection.

Act 2 Battle Pass Leak: New Skins

If you take a closer look at the game files of patch 3.04, you can find three big leaks about the new Battle Pass skins for Act 2. The first is a text “EP3_ACT2_Weapon_Subheader: ZEDD + VALORANT.” That doesn’t say much, but the next clue, “Make a masterpiece out of your matches with skins created in direct collaboration with producer and songwriter ZEDD,” obviously does.

Act 2 Battle Pass Leak: Zedd Melee Weapon

We don’t have any information yet on what weapons the Zedd skins will be available for, but there is an image showing a melee weapon, which suggests a theme.

Zedd Melee Skin

It may not look very good (compared to yesterday’s Butterfly Knife), but it’s worth waiting for the animations and VFX, which must look simply stunning. After all, one of the biggest DJs in the music industry worked on it.

Next to this image, we can find the text “Weapon_Header”: “SPECTRUM” in the game files, which is actually the title of a song by Zedd. Could this mean that there are several expandable skins with sounds related to the most popular Zedd singles? We are just speculating, but it sounds logical.

The relationship between Zedd and Riot

This is not the first time Riot Games has collaborated with Zedd. You may remember Zedd’s track “Ignite” that he produced for LoL Worlds 2016, where he also performed during the Grand Finals opening ceremony. In addition, there have also been reports that Riot has sent him Valorant-related gifts.

How to get skins in Valorant

Everyone uses the same weapons in Valorant, but that doesn’t mean every weapon has to look the same. After all, you’re going to spend a lot of time looking at your weapon, so looking at it might as well be.

Fortunately, the folks at Riot have the perfect solution for players who need to look good while shooting enemies. Skins are cosmetic add-ons that can change the physical appearance of a weapon, as well as animations and audio effects.

Read on to find out where you can get these unique looks and whether you need to play or pay to unlock the customizations.

How do I get skins in Valorant?

Unlike other popular multi-shooter games, Valorant doesn’t have any special skins to change and customize the look of the agent – at least for now. What they do offer is a collection of skins that can change and improve the way weapons look and feel while playing the game.

They don’t necessarily improve your gameplay, but sometimes looking good is enough to win a match, right?

Spend real money

This is possibly the easiest way to get the weapon skin you want but don’t have the time to unlock. Valorant Points or VP is the premium currency used in the game to unlock agents, skins and more from the in-game store.

Here is an example of converting real money to VP on the North American server:

  • $4.99 – 475 VP, no bonus VP, 475 VP total.
  • $9.99 – 950 VP, 50 bonus VP, 1000 VP total
  • $19.99 – 1900 VP, 150 bonus VP, 2050 total
  • $34.99 – 3325 VP, 325 bonus VP, 3650 total
  • $49.99 – 4750 VP, 600 bonus VP, 5350 total
  • 99 $ – 9500 VP, 1500 bonus VP, 11000 total

As a frame of reference, Valorant Store Featured Collections are around 7,100 VP. Individual weapon skins are slightly less expensive and generally range from 1,775 VP to 4,350 VP each, with melee weapon skins at the higher end of the price scale.

Before you start searching for weapon skins, you should know that featured bundles change every few weeks and individual skin deals change every 24 hours. So what you see today may not be what you see tomorrow.
