What comes after patch 10.9? Exactly 10.10. Since it still takes until the next LoL update goes live, we have a preview of the upcoming changes here. Spoiler: The Mid Lane will get it…
It is the pole position among the lanes in League of Legends: the Mid Lane. And for quite some time now, the game deciders of a team have been decreed on it. The jungler might be quite helpful, the support too, but the real strength was too often on the mid laner. Strong abilities, maximum damage. But the era of mid-laners like Diana and Katarina may soon be over. How soon? With the next LoL update: because patch 10.10 brings some changes.
Nerfs and buffs in LoL Patch 10.10
Since in the last patches mainly Jungle and Top Lane were affected by nerfs and buffs, there are now also a few Mid-Laner that Riot wants to “take care” of. Mark Yetter has now tweeted the list of nerfs and buffs:
Here, Mark “Scruffy” Yetter again shows Riot’s obvious plan to weaken the power of certain positions, balance them out, and strengthen Bot Lane. More heroes should be considered solid picks, which is why less popular champions like Udyr, Sivir, Irelia, or Nidalee will be buffed, while perennial OP favorites like Miss Fortune (Bot Lane) or Diana (Mid Lane) are in for a nerf. In order for Lux to move completely to Bot Lane, she will probably get some support abilities buffed in Patch 10.10.
Will Fiddlesticks continue to be tweaked?
Even though the vicious scarecrow is not mentioned by Yetter, more changes for the rework of Fiddlesticks are probably already on the LoL test servers anyway. Surrender@20 has leaked that The Ancient Fear passive is the focus of this. It also now has an additional fear bonus to invite players to fool their opponents more often – the activation time for Fiddlesticks Scarecrow pose has been increased from 1 to 2 seconds. Bountiful Harvest (W) has also been slightly modified. Whether these changes will come with patch 10.10 is questionable.
Pulsefire Skins and URF Mode
Besides the already confirmed Pulsefire Skins for Ekko, Pantheon, Fiora, and Lucian, LoL Patch 10.10 will apparently also bring the well-known URF mode. The “Kloppe” mode is always popular, since it has virtually no cooldowns and you can shoot yourself all the time – wonderful.
We’re excited to see if anything else unexpected awaits us in League of Legends Patch 10.10. We’ll know more next week on Wednesday, because the update will be released on May 13. Until then, here are all the news about the LoL Wild Rift and the battle between Dota 2 and LoL.
Champion skin
Champion skin (or skin for short) refers to the color scheme or appearance of a champion. Most champion skins can be purchased in the Riot Shop with Riot Points, while others are/were only available for special events/promotions. However, some selected chroma skins (color-changed skins)can be purchased at special events for Blue Essence. Some champion skins bring new particles for visual effects, quotes, and sound effects. Each skin has its own splash art, which is displayed in the champion selection and loading screen. Since patch 7.16, the custom champion image is also matched to the skin in the game itself.
What is actually… “League of Legends”?
“League of Legends is one of the most successful esports titles in the world. But what is it actually about? And what makes the game so popular? An explanation for beginners.
What is League of Legends (“LoL”) about?
In a classic game of “League of Legends,” two teams each have five characters called champions, each with individual characteristics. The main goal of each team is to destroy the opponent’s Nexus (a main building). Before this can be attacked, however, several defenses must be torn down on at least one of the three central level routes (lanes). Similar to “Dota 2”, the heroes receive continuous support on their campaign from AI-controlled units called minions. They storm the battlefield at regular intervals and independently attack enemies or enemy buildings – but only on the three main paths of the map. Those who roam around in the surrounding jungle will have to do without minion help. As usual in the MOBA genre, the champions reach higher levels by collecting experience points. In the course of the match, they learn numerous new abilities. Provided they have enough gold, the player can also strengthen himself with new equipment. Each of the 141 hero characters that the player can currently choose from is assigned to one of six classes. Warriors can deal out a lot of damage, tanks take a lot of punishment, mages have powerful special abilities, and supporters can, among other things, replenish the mana energy of allies or heal their comrades-in-arms.
