LoL Patch 11.18 will be released in two weeks. It will be a rather small patch without many changes and updates, as we are approaching the 11.19 World Championship patch. So, what changes can we expect in LoL Patch 11.18?
Unlike LoL Patch 11.16, in which Sona received an overhaul, and Patch 11.17, in which Lucian, Amumu and Viego were updated, LoL Patch 11.18 will be a rather low-key patch with only minor changes. Riot will not want to mess up the meta too much before the 2021 World Championship.
What changes are coming with LoL patch 11.18?
Riot will likely continue to monitor Akshan, as he received a number of bug fixes and even a hotfix buff in patch 11.17. Other champions that have recently been updated, such as Lucian, Amumu, Gangplank, and Viego, will also be monitored to see how the 11.17 changes have affected these champions.
As mentioned earlier, LoL Patch 11.18 will not include any major champion changes. We will get nerfs for outliers and buffs for struggling champions, but for now there is nothing major on the PBE server. Riot probably wants to keep metastable for the pro game.
Will Vex be released in LoL Patch 11.18?
According to Riot, Vex was supposed to be released in September this year. We haven’t seen her on the PBE server for patch 11.18 yet, which means she will most likely come in LoL patch 11.19. In two weeks we will know if she will be in PBE patch 11.19.

Vex played an important role in the Sentinels event that took place earlier this summer, but due to some complications with her kit and in order to properly tune her, the release of the Control Mage was postponed.
What skins will come with LoL Patch 11.18?
Riot has announced that Pentakill will get new skins. In addition, the 6-member band is getting a new member in Viego. With his penchant for leather pants and showing off his abs, Viego is a perfect fit for Pentakill and the metal genre as a whole.
So while the original six members with the skins of Pentakill – The Lost Chapter, will be getting an update to their skins, Viego will be wearing a white suit, once again showing off his abs and turning his greatsword into a guitar.
These are the members of Pentakill who will also receive a skin:
- Sona
- Karthus
- Olaf
- Kayle
- Murder Emperor
- Yorick
- Viego
In addition, Tristana will also get a Hextech skin, which is already being tested on PBE.
When will LoL patch 11.18 be released?
According to the official League of Legends patch schedule, patch 11.18 will be released on Thursday, September 9. This coincides perfectly with the release date of Pentakill’s third official album.

Champion skin
Champion skin (or skin for short) refers to the color scheme or appearance of a champion. Most champion skins can be purchased in the Riot Shop with Riot Points, while others are/were only available for special events/promotions. However, some selected chroma skins (color-changed skins)can be purchased at special events for Blue Essence. Some champion skins bring new particles for visual effects, quotes, and sound effects. Each skin has its own splash art, which is displayed in the champion selection and loading screen. Since patch 7.16, the custom champion image is also matched to the skin in the game itself.
What is actually… “League of Legends”?
“League of Legends is one of the most successful esports titles in the world. But what is it actually about? And what makes the game so popular? An explanation for beginners.
What is League of Legends (“LoL”) about?
In a classic game of “League of Legends,” two teams each have five characters called champions, each with individual characteristics. The main goal of each team is to destroy the opponent’s Nexus (a main building). Before this can be attacked, however, several defenses must be torn down on at least one of the three central level routes (lanes). Similar to “Dota 2”, the heroes receive continuous support on their campaign from AI-controlled units called minions. They storm the battlefield at regular intervals and independently attack enemies or enemy buildings – but only on the three main paths of the map. Those who roam around in the surrounding jungle will have to do without minion help. As usual in the MOBA genre, the champions reach higher levels by collecting experience points. In the course of the match, they learn numerous new abilities. Provided they have enough gold, the player can also strengthen himself with new equipment. Each of the 141 hero characters that the player can currently choose from is assigned to one of six classes. Warriors can deal out a lot of damage, tanks take a lot of punishment, mages have powerful special abilities, and supporters can, among other things, replenish the mana energy of allies or heal their comrades-in-arms.
