New skins are coming and with them comes coffee! The next skin line will contain maids and especially a lot of cakes. Find out which champions will get a skin and when they will be released here.
2021 is truly the year of beautiful and cute anime girls for Riot Games. In the summer we already got the Coven Skins, had epic Bird Themed Skins and were showered with Bewitching Skins for Halloween. So what was still missing? Maid Cafe girls and boys of course!
Riot has now delivered that too! We are getting a Maid Café Themed skin line with six champions. Who, how and when will be explained here!
Which champions will get Cafe Cutie skins?
A total of six champions will apparently receive a Cafe skin. Included in this list are all the champs that will be rocking the new outfit:
- Gwen
- Annie
- Soraka
- Sivir
- Bard
- Vladimir
It is not yet known if any of them will get a Prestige Skin – but it is unlikely. Riot is still planning – at least according to the skin catalog – to release a Prestige skin for Brand, but does it really fit into that concept? Maybe as an oven, but that’s about it.
How much will the Cafe Cutie skins cost?
The Cafe Cutie skins will cost 1350 RP each. They are not legendary skins, just epic ones. Therefore, the price is quite justified. Additionally, the bundles are reduced right now. So if you want to take the maid action to the extreme, the Cafe Cuties Mega Bundle currently costs “only” 12722 RP.
And if you like us absolutely didn’t pay attention in League of Mathematik: 310 RP are available in the store for 2,50€. And 6500 RP are available for 50 €. So, summa Summorum according to Adam Riese the reduced bundle costs… *drum roll* 100 Euro! To be honest, that’s how much we spent at the last company party at the Maid Café. So it remains the same.
When will the Cafe Cutie skins be released?
It seems like the skins are coming to the PBE server on November 3, 2021, so they should be released with LoL Patch 11.23. According to the official LoL patch schedule, the release date will be November 17, 2021.
What skins will still be available in LoL in 2021?
Luckily, we’ve already written a whole article about it, where you can read in detail what has happened and will happen in 2021. If we get something big again, it will probably be a Debonair series. But Riot has already blown out so much this year, that it’s unlikely much will be added.
Are you excited about the new Skin series? Or would you rather see Kog’Maw, Cho’Gath, and Malphite in fresh skins instead? Which champion would you prefer in the Cafe Skin line? Let us know on Discord!
Champion skin
Champion skin (or skin for short) refers to the color scheme or appearance of a champion. Most champion skins can be purchased in the Riot Shop with Riot Points, while others are/were only available for special events/promotions. However, some selected chroma skins (color-changed skins)can be purchased at special events for Blue Essence. Some champion skins bring new particles for visual effects, quotes and sound effects. Each skin has its own splashart, which is displayed in the champion selection and loading screen. Since patch 7.16, the custom champion image is also matched to the skin in the game itself.
What is actually… “League of Legends”?
“League of Legends is one of the most successful e-sports titles in the world. But what is it actually about? And what makes the game so popular? An explanation for beginners.
What is League of Legends (“LoL”) about?
In a classic game of “League of Legends,” two teams each have five characters called champions, each with individual characteristics. The main goal of each team is to destroy the opponent’s Nexus (a main building). Before this can be attacked, however, several defenses must be torn down on at least one of the three central level routes (lanes). Similar to “Dota 2”, the heroes receive continuous support on their campaign from AI-controlled units called minions. They storm the battlefield at regular intervals and independently attack enemies or enemy buildings – but only on the three main paths of the map. Those who roam around in the surrounding jungle will have to do without minion help. As usual in the MOBA genre, the champions reach higher levels by collecting experience points. In the course of the match, they learn numerous new abilities. Provided they have enough gold, the player can also strengthen himself with new equipment. Each of the 141 hero characters that the player can currently choose from is assigned to one of six classes. Warriors can deal out a lot of damage, tanks take a lot of punishment, mages have powerful special abilities, and supporters can, among other things, replenish the mana energy of allies or heal their comrades-in-arms.
