Changes to Prestige Skins in 2022?

A new phase in life begins for Prestige Skins in 2022. During the – Season 2022 livestream, Belissimoh, Product Lead of Personalization and Events in League of Legends, explained that they are working on an improved player experience.

Gemstones and Prestige points in 2022? Pff, water under the bridge. Instead, the focus will be on Mythic Essence. Players can use it to buy rare cosmetics in the new Mythic Shop, which regularly offers new items. Oh, and there are also two different types of skins.

What are the two types of skins in the new Mythic Shop?

So after players didn’t find the Hextech skins to be special or unique, Riot is now introducing “- Season al mythics,” which revolve around an ever-changing theme for unique skins in the Mythic Shop. For example, in 2022, Riot is working on Ashen Knights skins for the Mythic Shop.

On top of that, you can still skim older Prestige skins if you’ve been away from the outfit for a while. So you can still get your hands on Prestige Arcade Caitlyn, don’t worry. The offer of Prestige skins in Mythic Shop changes every month.

What skins will we get in 2022?

2021 was already a heavy year for skins, and 2022 is sure to be even heavier. New as well as old thematics will hitten the gap. For some champions it’s about time for a new skin and Riot seems to listen to our wishes.

Which champions will get skins in 2022?

Fresh skins are available for the following champions:

  • Gangplank – Gangplank the Betrayer
  • Fiddlesticks
  • Rek’Sai – Elderwood Rek’Sai
  • Trundle
  • Rell
  • Orianna – Orbeeanna
  • Heimderdinger – Heimerstinger

Fiddlesticks was actually already last year at the turn… But Riot moved his skin to the back, so he is on the list again.

Which thematics for skins will be launched in 2022?

Riot wants to push some of the more popular skin lines again this year:

  • Bee Skins
  • Star Guardian
  • High Noon

Besides that, Riot wants to rework some standalone skins and expand them to a skin line. The Battle Bunny skin – so far only rocked by yours truly Riven – will get some Riot love in 2022. Oh yeah, Anima Squad skins are also slated to appear…. just like the Monster Tamers, which came in third place in the 2021 New Skin Thematics poll.

A few other Skin Thematics are being kept a close eye on by Riot and may be reworked to bring them up to the 2022 skin level. The affected Skin Lines are:

  • Gothic
  • Infernal
  • Arclight

In the League of Legends client, players can vote on which skin theme will be revised in the end. If your choice doesn’t win in the voting, it’s still possible that the skins will get some love beyond 2022.

Sooo, that’s all we know about Skins 2022 so far. The article will of course be constantly updated so you’ll always know which skins have already been released, which new themes are destroying the divide, and which champions are sporting a brand new look!

Champion skin

Champion skin (or skin for short) refers to the color scheme or appearance of a champion. Most champion skins can be purchased in the Riot Shop with Riot Points, while others are/were only available for special events/promotions. However, some selected chroma skins (color-changed skins)can be purchased at special events for Blue Essence. Some champion skins bring new particles for visual effects, quotes and sound effects. Each skin has its own splashart, which is displayed in the champion selection and loading screen. Since patch 7.16, the custom champion image is also matched to the skin in the game itself.

What is actually… “League of Legends”?

“League of Legends is one of the most successful e-sports titles in the world. But what is it actually about? And what makes the game so popular? An explanation for beginners.

What is League of Legends (“LoL”) about?

In a classic game of “League of Legends,” two teams each have five characters called champions, each with individual characteristics. The main goal of each team is to destroy the opponent’s Nexus (a main building). Before this can be attacked, however, several defenses must be torn down on at least one of the three central level routes (lanes). Similar to “”, the heroes receive continuous support on their campaign from AI-controlled units called minions. They storm the battlefield at regular intervals and independently attack enemies or enemy buildings – but only on the three main paths of the map. Those who roam around in the surrounding jungle will have to do without minion help. As usual in the genre, the champions reach higher levels by collecting experience points. In the course of the match, they learn numerous new abilities. Provided they have enough gold, the player can also strengthen himself with new equipment. Each of the 141 hero characters that the player can currently choose from is assigned to one of six classes. Warriors can deal out a lot of damage, tanks take a lot of punishment, mages have powerful special abilities, and supporters can, among other things, replenish the mana energy of allies or heal their comrades-in-arms.
