Yone has only been a resident of the Rift for a short time. And he is one of the champions in League of Legends that you actually need hands to be useful in the game. But what are the best buttons to press? And in what order? And how hard? The answer to almost all questions can be found in this Yone Champion Guide:

Yone Champion Guide: Yone’s Playstyle

Yone is a melee champion who is classified as an assassin. So the most important thing is not to rush headlong into fights. Keep cool, wait for the initial charge and don’t tunnel 1v9 on the opponent ADC. Leave that to the others in your team, you can then use the leftovers.

Also keep in mind, you are not an earlygame champion. Unless of course you create an account with us. Joking aside, the trades from level 3 are quite good, but you lack Waveclear and also a bit of skill speed. But more about that later. For now, let’s continue with the Yone Mechanics:

Yone Champion Guide: Important Knockup with the Q

Yone’s Q works a bit like Yasuo’s. Okay, it works just like Yasuo’s, after all they are brothers. Impale the opponent once, then you get a storm stack. Impale again for the next stack, and with the third Q you can stand forward and throw enemies in front of you.

The best way to combine this knock up is with the Ultimate. With it you dash over a huge distance and arrive at the farthest enemy. After that, you’ll pull all the enemies you passed on the way to you. The distance is really huge, you’ll even grab two walls with it on some parts of the map! With a charged Q, you can use the Ultimate’s knockup as an Engage and then throw the enemies up again with the third Q instance. You’ll have the most fun with this, but that’s the point.

Yone Champion Guide: Playing Early Trades correctly

As with many League of Legends champions, Yone is very much about gaining experience and getting levels and items. This way you can use his enormous damage and his powerful Ultimate later on. So you should avoid feeding at the beginning as much as possible. Nevertheless, you can gain a small advantage on the lane by entering short trades again and again. The best way to do this is like this:

Stack your Q at the wave until the knockup is ready. Then use your E-Dash and Q Dash one right after the other. Most of the time the opponent doesn’t expect this fast close up and will be thrown up directly. So you have time for one or two autoattacks and a W. Important: Afterwards reactivate the E directly to trigger the Mark for absolute damage. In, out, finished off. Opponent Half Life.

Yone is a combo master and has a high skillcap! Take heart, the plays are usually rewarded. And the longer the game goes on and the more of crit items you accumulate on Yone, the better!
