It’s Akali’s turn in the Champion Guide. In our League of Legends Champion Guide series, we will introduce you to the most important mechanics of all League of Legends Champions. We’ll show you gameplay, runes, items and generally everything there is to know about these champions. Today, we’re going to travel quietly and throw smoke bombs through the area. You can look forward to many Dashes.
Apart from the Akali Champion Guide, we’ve already had a few others on the test bench. Take a look if you don’t know exactly how to deal with Yone. Of course, there’s also some not so skill-heavy fare in the menu: Jinx for example or Ahri you can handle, I believe in you.
But if you’re not so keen on ADCs or the Hasaki brothers, I can absolutely recommend Akali and this champion guide for maximum Elo gain. I’ll say it beforehand: we’re going to skip the very, very difficult Akali mechanics. No one in this editorial team is challenger enough to not break their fingers with the champion.
Akali’s main mechanics and gameplay
Writing a champion guide for Akali is almost as sensible as having a chicken write the math exam for me. We’ll try anyway: To understand Akali’s mechanics, you should first start with the passive. It’s quite useful because it gives you tons of bonus stats. And when I say ton, I mean trucks full, container ships, Boeings full of bonus stats. Okay yeah, I’ll calm down.
If you’re wondering, “What’s the point of all this gibberish? You’re a multimedia company, put it on YouTube.” Jokes on you, we already have. Homemade videos of our own brand Earlygame are waiting for you. They are everywhere, waiting behind dark corners on your way home or lurking at home. There is no escape!
Using Akalis Passive correctly
The passive works on the principle of in, out, finished off. Yes. So the circle you have to run in and out of. Not what you think. Just try to pack auto attacks into your combo as often as possible. Then you’ll have maximized your damage. You’ll have to make sure you have enough energy for the rest of your abilities – and even the Akali Champion Guide Master, which I am, can’t help you there. Whether the mechanics are right then, is with Akali such a thing…
You can see the Challenger Akali Mechanics in the video and they are definitely too complicated to write down. If you’re not up for 20 minutes, there’s also a really short guide linked below, and there’s some spicy stuff coming up as well.
Akali and her energy management
Writing a champion guide for Akali is almost as meaningful as reading a book with your eyes closed. But we’re already in the middle of it, so let’s finish it now. Energy is Akali’s mana, and with only one Q, you have almost none left in the beginning levels. But you can make yourself invisible, then you regenerate better and have more maximum energy.
- You might think it’s Christmas again: The Mundo Rework is finally ready
So the Shrout is pretty good if you want to dance around the passives. That’s one of the basic mechanics of Akali: jump in, go out, trigger passive autoattack, passive, back out, back in, trigger stack and so on and so forth….
An Akali Combo Guide… or at least the attempt to write one
Writing a champion guide for Akali is almost as sensible as convincing German grandparents to give up their breakfast sausage. But there are some combos and mechanics you should know how to do with Akali. So, how do we use the E-Dash? Right, right after the Ultimate. If you ulte to Max Range, you can still E-dash through the opponent in flight. Pretty beginner friendly.
Good, and what’s the best way to let the lane bully hang out? Right, not at all until level 3! After that you can think about whether you want to fight. The little Q-Slow almost always guarantees that you’ll hit your E if you throw it right after it. Otherwise, also turn around directly in the Q animation. Then the boosted autoattack is already as good as certain.
