If there was ever a time to main Camille, it’s now. – Season 11 has been really good for the woman with the scissor legs, and if you know how to play her, you’ll have a lot of fun. Your opponents will just hate you, but that’s kind of the goal in League…

Unfortunately, you can also screw up with Camille if you don’t know what runes you need or what abilities you need to max. Once you’re behind, it’s hard to get back into the game without help.

That’s why we’ll tell you everything you need to become the best Camille player ever (after that, it’s really up to you).

Camille Guide: Summoner Spells

Surprise! Flash is always the first choice when it comes to Summoners. Even though Camille can usually escape with her E, it’s always good to have a plan B (or F?). Also, you can combine the E with Flash to stun distant enemies.

The second Summoner Spell on the top lane is, as always, Teleport. There is simply nothing more important than map control and mobility. Make sure you don’t just TP back to the lane, but knock out sick TP plays on the botlane, for example. This will not only help you, but also your team. Of course, there are few things better than TPing to the lane after you’ve been killed and killing the enemy laner. Revenge is sweet…

Camille Guide: Runes

For the first rune path it is best to choose Resolve, for the second Inspiration.

Choose the runes as in the picture above and finally choose Adaptive twice and then Armor/MR depending on the match-up.

With Camille you want to do as much damage as possible in as short a time as possible. If you have the right combos (more on that later) you can burst enemies in less than 5 seconds. That’s why you choose such offensive runes.

On the lane, you will be constantly fighting with your opponent, so you will also need some defensive stats. Both Resolve and Inspiration should help you win the trades.

Camille Guide: Skill Order

On level 1 you should take E with Camille. The spell is extremely helpful for CSing. After that you should take the E. E + W make it impossible for the opponent to trade against you, and even if the jungler should come, you can just get out. From level 3 you will max your Q. This is your primary damage source and important to burst opponents.

After level 9, you’ll put your points into the E. This will reduce the cooldown and increase damage, as well as the attack speed you get from it. Also, Camille’s E is extremely useful both offensively and defensively.

Camille Guide: Item Builds

You’ll have to choose your starting item depending on the match-up, against obnoxious ranged top laners like Teemo, Doran’s Shield is usually better. Against most other champs, however, you’ll want to go all-in. That means Doran’s Blade!

You could buy Nike Air for the price, but Plated Steelcaps are probably a better investment. If you’re playing against a lot of AP champions or CC, Merc Treads might be a better choice.

The Mythic item should always be Trinity Force. If everything goes well, buy Ravenous Hydra after that and then Sterak’s Gage. If you get punched in the mouth on the lane, you better buy a defensive item. Spirit Visage against AP, Thornmail against Heal/AD or Randuin’s against AD.

Camille Guide: Match-Ups

We mentioned earlier that Camille has a hard time going all-in against champions like Teemo or Heimerdinger. They can poke you from a distance, and if you ever go E on them, they have good tools to trade.

If the opponents have picked Jax or Renekton, then dodge or pick another champ. Believe me, your team will thank you.

It’s easier against tanks or squishies like Yone, Akali or Sylas. Especially the latter can’t defend themselves well if you hit them with your E.
