It’s Annie’s turn in the Champion Guide. In our League of Legends Champion Guide series, we introduce you to the most important mechanics of all League of Legends Champions. We show you gameplay, runes, items and generally everything there is to know about these champions. Today a little girl with a teddy bear moves through the gap and looks creepy. In the Champion Guide today Annie.
Annie may be the first champion you’ve ever played, but she’s certainly not the only one. True to the motto “Other champions have nice guides, too”, we’ve got a few more up our sleeves for you. From Jinx to Akali, from Yone to Lux, it’s all here. We even have Kindred!
Annie is a relatively beginner-friendly champion. That’s why writing a champion guide for Annie makes almost as much sense as starting a new – Season of your favorite show at 2 in the morning. It’s a well-known fact, but maybe you should reconsider it. Especially if you have to work the next morning (I’m so tired).
Annie Guide Champion: What makes Annie so strong?
What? Anyone can play Annie? More or less! A lot has to do with how well you know your way around the midline. But there are some additional mechanics that can really boost your win rate. First the abilities: Q: Fireball, W: Fire Cone, E: Fire Shield, R: Fire Tibbers. Intuitive and easy to remember.
If you don’t know exactly who Tibbers is and where Annie comes from, we’ve prepared tasty lore articles for you, including Annie’s story.
The only ability missing from this Annie Guide is the Passive. Every 5th ability stuns the opponent. There’s not much to say about that either. Except, of course, that with three stacks in your bag, you can fire the Q and activate the E-shield for the final stun stack while it’s still flying. You even get Movement Speed on top of that! No opponent in this world will expect that, be sure!
How easy Annie is to handle after this Champion Guide (and probably before, let’s face it) is shown by her most important mechanic: Flash + R. Tibbers has monumental area damage at his disposal and together with W, Q, Electrocute, and possibly Rocketbelt that’s enough in almost every phase of the game to briefly snag an ADC here or there.
Build lane dominance with Annie
Hopefully, you don’t just know from this guide that Annie is a strong laner. She has such a huge auto attack range that poke should always go through. Also, three charged stacks should actually keep the opponent from approaching you. Well, maybe that’s true in a world where matchmaking works and Iron is just metal and not a way of life.
- There are things in life that you should have done at least once. One of them is to grab the Skins On Sale all while they are hot! Another is to subscribe to EarlyGame.
Either way, the old children’s rhyme counts: if your opponent runs into your stacks, victory will be all yours. Kids just have it in the… By the way, if you stun the opponent with Q or W and then summon Tibbers, your teddy will completely freak out and see red (because of fire, you understand).
In case you didn’t know, Tibbers can be controlled separately, just like Yorick’s Maiden or Ivern’s Daisy. Take a look at your settings under “Control of companions”. The default is usually Alt+right mouse button. Not only Annie Guide here, also Tibbers Guide.
Hopefully you have the Annie Mechanics down now after reading this Annie Champion Guide carefully. If you want to improve your gameplay even more, I recommend the following exquisite guides from the EarlyGame cosmos (and from me, of course):
- The Hunt Begins! Champion Guide: Kindred
- Itemguides on the fast lane: Stridebreaker
